One issue which I can not resolve...
I use built in CEC with “Turn Off” Screensaver. This successfully turns off the TV when screensaver is activated and Kodi keeps running.
All works perfectly except I would like Bluetooth speaker to stay connected and keep playing music.
Checked the screensaver, CEC adapter, Kodi settings etc and there were many settings even a “not to mute audio” but none of them keep Bluetooth device connected when “Turn Off”screensaver starts.
I know LibreElec disconnects the Bluetooth speaker as it makes a disconnection notification sound.
Anyone else seen this issue?
As a workaround In settings/screensaver/interface I can enable “use visualisation if playing audio” to prevent the screensaver kicking in but then the TV doesn’t turn off.
I probably should have mentioned that I tested on LAN not Wi-Fi
lieuandy you could also reserve a static IP by MAC address on your router as a workaround.
Ended up finding this script which does exactly what I need - love the simplicity 👍🏻
Installed v9.0.1 to switch audio to and from Bluetooth speaker <> TV Built In Speakers.
When Bluetooth speaker is turned on, audio switches from TV speakers to Bluetooth speakers.
When Bluetooth speaker is switched OFF the audio output device remains and Bluetooth and doesn’t switch back to TV speakers.
I can manually switch between audio output device in Kodi system/settings/audio but I thought the purpose of this add-on was meant to switch between audio output devices?
Wilfred - yes it does (9.0.1)
datrh Setting IP manually via LE network settings works for me on latest 18.1 image
datrh, re-up works a treat! thanks again the X8H-Plus lives again. Don’t forget to enable resolution switch
I just have one question, is the LibreELEC Add-ons Repo 9.0.1 installed locally on device or is it a link to a remote destination?
datrh thanks for the update - can't wait to test the updated X8H-Plus Kodi 18.1 image.
Couple of questions before release:
1. is boot_autoscript still to be renamed to boot.scr before install?
2. if we have TV's capable to switch resolution, do we whitelist the supported resolutions in Kodi as before?
getting "connection times out" when attempting to download LibreELEC-X8-X8H.arm-LE9-Kodi_18.1.img.gz
Tried chrome, edge and 2 different devices but still doesn't want to download.
LibreELEC-X8-X8H.arm-LE9-Kodi_18.1.tar works fine.
anyone else having this issue?
@datrh You're the Man !!!! 100% on 18.1
Thank you once again
couldn’t agree more, Your single handedly keeping these Minix devices alive - something Minix said couldn’t be done!!
datrh with X8H PLUS FW011 installed, both 9.0 and 9.1 boot fine. Issue with accessing "Could not connect to repository” persists on 9.1. I'm guessing there is probably no point testing 17.6 now...
Good question datrh I didn't even check the fw - now updated both boxes to X8H_PLUS_FW011_20170119.img - our household awaits when you 9.1 is ready to test. Thanks again for your great works!
Thanks for the reply and your great work datrh
As mentioned I did try the “Final” image on 2 X8H+ but both kept giving the file system error on install. Not sure what the issue is there.
Please let me know if there is a fix for the libreELEC repo “Could not connect to repository” as all else is working really well
Confused end user here,
hoping to update 2 Minix X8H Plus boxes to LibreELEC 9 with Kodi 18.1.
1. Burnt image ( LibreELEC-X8-X8H.arm-9.1-devel-20190305214802-782f78e.img ) to SD card, 2. Browsed the SD and rename "boot_autoscript" to "boot.scr"
3. Tried to run "installtointernal" in SSH but got "permissions denied error"
4. Updated permissions:
LibreELEC:~ # cp /usr/sbin/installtointernal /tmp
LibreELEC:~ # chmod a+x /tmp/installtointernal
LibreELEC:~ # /tmp/installtointernal
5. Kodi now boots which is great but as soon as I try to install an add-on from default LibreELEC Add-ons (Team LibreELEC - 9.0.1) repo I get "Could not connect to repository".
Tried to manually install the add-on but its nowhere to be found (PVR/TVMosaic), VPN and another addon.
Tried to install the Final img ( LibreELEC-X8-X8H.arm-9.0-devel-20190202105130-8798984.img ) but this img file gives me a corrupt filesystem error even after 4 attempts.
Your help would be much appreciated.
Feedback and a question...
Running LibreELEC 8.90 / Kodi 18 RC4 on 3 Mininx X8H Plus boxes for a few weeks now and all are running well with only very occasional freezing which I resolve with power off/on.
For me the image quality and general performance increase is very impressive. Frame rate switching works seamlessly resulting in very smooth motion flow - a big well done to the developers again.
I did have an issue with sound stuttering on one of my older Sony Bravia TV's but selecting SPDIF in Kodi audio output settings seemed to have fixed that issue.
My question, will Kodi 18 Leia be incorporated into LibreELEC for Minix X8H Plus eventually?
thanks!
A small bug, apologies if this is not the correct area to post this bug.
Distribution: LibreELEC (community)
Version: devel-20190103034925-92ba511
Architecture: X8-H_Plus.arm
Device: MINIX X8-H Plus
CPU: S802-H
Streaming video from HGTV add-on in Kodi froze the Minix X8H-plus.
Disconnecting the power is only way to reboot.
Logs:
Installed as per instruction on Minix X8H Plus, gigabit lan, A2 remote, HDMI to Panasonic TV. Must enable frame-rate switching in settings (this was disabled by default causing crashes) then tested with random videos from Synology NAS via NFS, DVB-T via TVMosaic Server also on the NAS - so far results are impressive especially the video quality on the Minix considering its age, it has really been improved! Well done to the developers, I will keep testing but so far so good.
