Btw you can also look into buying an satip server, that is driver indipendend and rather cheap. An digibit R1 is around 120€
That is another pretty well spread setup.

Similar problem but not that bad. If you search for 4+ tuners there are not too much options either. Just Digital devices that are pretty expensive.
Pls try the LE alphas with Kodi 18, you are using the LE8.2 builds (k17) that won't get any fix anymore.
Linux works a bit different to windows. It is not easy to install any driver on top of your normal installation.
Basically as long Geniatech won't send their driver "to" the linux maintainers and they arrive the linux kernel they are not properly supported.
In general Geniatech devices have zero vendor support at linux. Its always just those crappy drivers that break in a year and you could throw away your card.
i just installed clean iso from lighberry.eu, libreelec v8.2.5.. nothing more
maybe ? and then just updated to latest LE ?
8.90.008 builds are ready for testing, could you pls test if it starts/works (we are sadly low at slice hw so we can't properly test it)
Likely not. Afaik there are no drivers yet.
Could you show some logs? Maybe there is something shown.
An alternative is likely Emby, this is designed around that kind of usecase.
Can you try some other linux distribution? Maybe some ubuntu 18.10 via live boot from usb?
At dmesg there should pop up some dvb something.
Btw i try to understand if it is a LE problem or an Linux driver problem.
can you choose the crazy cat driver at the driver chooser addon and see if it changes anything ?
that stick should be supported, did you used some usb hub ?
and pls try crazycat or dvb-latest if it works at some of the driver
Your best bet is to go to addons -> LibreELEC Modules --> DVB Modules --> Linux-Media: select it and REBOOT.
pls try it again with the latest 007 release
I won't rule out that the script might be broken, but I have sadly no url to something that I could test it at all.
When do you expect the first beta build to become available?
not sure yet, but you can test already the Alphas if you like, there is no big difference in the end
