I have and advanced settings in 8, would that be effecting 9 or just not working,?
possible, pls remove this and try again
Would the minimise colours in the system settings have any effect, it was off in 8 but defaulted to on in 9?
not that I know
you could try to install kodi at windows and try the same channels there ?
Something gone wrong with the logs
file:///media/38193aa8-4ec3-4e74-aefe-06b88bcdf04d/.kodi/temp/kodi_crashlog_20181231085917.log is the path of the logfile
just open these files and copy the content to pastebin.com
thanks for your testing !
I need it to be wife friendly
then better no S905/S912/Rockchip Box in the current state - this might work in an half year onwards but not today
If you want something faster then the S905 Box you already have you are rather forced to Rk3399 or x86.
If you need "speed" and a proper stable support today then x86 is your choice.
Intel NUC Kit NUC7CJYH for example is rather cheap (you need 4gb RAM and USB/SD/M2/SSD) so you are around 150-160 (depending where you buy it).
hopefully I can get another 4 or 5 years out of it
no, none of the HW today has what is likely needed in 5 years (HDR + DRM)
Buy whatever fits today !
Tvh runs as root at LE, so it would work - like said never tried.
you could manually set the time each time (not really a solution i guess)
otherwise you could get an rtc shield (2-6€) for the RPi and get the time from the RPi (also not really ideal)
do you just have no internet or no connection ? do you have access to your router ?
(LE9 Beta 2) 8.95.002 builds (Kodi18 RC4) are ready for testing, could you pls test if it starts/works (we are sadly low at slice hw so we can't properly test it)
Wow the word scienc* is censored in this board... Who is scared of such things?
Sry typical word for our favourite pharma spam guys.
Did someone reported this bug to the kodi bug tracker that it gets fixed?
not sure if you use it or not - did you adjusted the white list with resolutions and HZ of your screen?
I am not sure if these switch times are normal or not - could you maybe with the Windows Version of Kodi try it too if they are similar ?
coud you share a kodi.log from trying install the emulators and the crash ?
could you pr these changes to GitHub - tvheadend/dtv-scan-tables: Digital TV scan tables - a fork for TVHeadend, create a PR to add/update ?
would help others too i guess
I have added the whitelist resolutions and frequencies, any other suggestions?
"perfect" settings are (FHD + DVB at the EU)
set the Kodi Gui to 1920x1080, set to 50 Hz.
whitelist 1080p/60/50/23,98
and pls try again - you should have similar speeds to LE8
could you provide the link from dmesg | paste ?
