if I recall correctly the solder joins are poorly made at the hdmi port adapter, so you get all kind of problems

have a look here Run LibreELEC in virtual machine without real gpu
sadly I didn't got it working at all (LE10+11 bootloop) so no idea if this works or not
-
its running out of steam playing mkv files
Thats likely not the root of that problem, a mkv is basically just some zip like container, mp4 too.
In the past mkv has proven a much more reliable compared to mp4 with basically no cpu usage (or even less) compared to mp4.

Well, something was interfering, as I didn't change anything else except generic to legacy.
the underlaying graphic processing is completely different, so it is very likely that there are completely different problems

current state of Hyperion that does not sounds promising, currently just the legacy X11 is supported
[WIP] DRM Grabber by Paulchen-Panther · Pull Request #1422 · hyperion-project/hyperion.ngSummary I'll spare myself the many words and refer you to the Issue. Everything is still WIP and miles away from the result. Issue: #983 To build this PR…github.comi have an external HDMI grabber
if you have a external grabber look at https://docs.hyperion-project.org/en/user/HyperBian.html
you can completely "external" use Hyperion - you don't need any LE support for that

there are plans (for years) to include a browser into kodi, sadly it is just developed by one person that has no time to finish it "soon"
so its in limbo for likely another release

yea, the easist way is quickly booting from some ubuntu and change the file

Crash on LibreElec 10.95.0 (Kodi 20) due to missing libssl1.1.so and no HW-decoding · Issue #30 · veldenb/plugin.program.moonlight-qtIn LibrELEC 10.95.0 which is running Kodi 20, Moonlight will cause Kodi to restart because libssl.so.1.1 cannot be found. I have tried adding libssl1.1 to the…github.com
isn't working yet for LE11 due missing support at moonlight (sounds like it get added soon)

the cpu is intel celeron N2940
Tthe cpu is not that old and its know to work with LE.
You could try to add the command like described at RE: Xandr Replacement
You need a working ssh connection to the laptop or you boot some Ubuntu Live and then edit at the files at the storage.

Please provide a full debug log.How to post a log (wiki)1. Enable debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging2. Restart Kodi3. Replicate the problem4. Generate a log URL (do not post/upload logs to the forum)
use "Settings > LibreELEC > System > Paste system logs" or run "pastekodi" over SSH, then post the URL link -
difficult to say without knowing anything about the laptop, can you post the laptop cpu/cpu etc ?
-
from the error shown I would try to reboot windows, if this is not helping try a different USB port, if this is also not helping try a different SD Card
basically the error says that the SD card can't be accessed, but there are a lot problems that could trigger this

I think calling Generic "broken" because you can't use the Chrome browser add-on is a little over-dramatic
the "broken" is about the not properly working video playback for all kind of media types at LE while using GBM IF you have a effected system like an older Intel or AMD
-
Solved?
the files are at the addon repo and the install works for me without any problem
-
sounds right https://askubuntu.com/a/1433404
make sure you have a backup and or you can access your system from a liveboot etc if something went wrong at editing
you can edit it here https://wiki.libreelec.tv/configuration/…or-syslinux.cfg

just saying, we haven't dropped any hardware so likewise a bug or like chewitt said it uses the wrong driver for some reason
