If so you can workaround if you replace the font with the full version instead of the light version that doesn not include the fontset for "special" languages. Not sure how it works but you likely just need to replace the font at your kodi skin.

For chrome its more difficult, I have a look how to fix it.

it is not dead, but its not well maintained at the moment, perexg is really missing

From the stability point of view VDR is perfect but the whole tools are garbage from 10-15 years ago and the whole eco system (ofc some extensions are modern) is still in 2005. If VDR would enclose some plugins (like satip and vnsi) and finally add some proper webinterface it would be already in good shape. But unlikely to happen because the maintainers are also still in 2005.

vdr itself doesn't play with oscam at all vdr itself is just the core, everything fancy are extensions - that are mostly in pretty outdated shape

Btw if you search for a box you need to know if you want something that works somehow right now and never needs an update or you want something that actually gets proper support.

A "popular" choice for the latter is for example the Allwinner (H6) Tanix TX6. Cheap and properly supported.

A crappy remote and a low quality power supply is always included regardless what box you buy

SMB works without any problems if you use SMB2 or 3, just the current Kodi implementation is weird, you have to know that you can't use "Windows Network" to add it. Otherwise it is rock solid.

Because the current implementation at kodi is highly missleading, if you use Windows network (SMB) it means the super old protocol that is EOL since decades and Windows10 automatically disables it. Ofc nobody should use SMB1 at all, it has several problems (hickups while streaming and whatnot).

Windows 10 can handle SMB2 + SMB3

So you need to use "add network location ..." to enter the ip where your share is located. User+password is needed.

the patch itself is too heavy to include it into the official distro so you just need to wait till we have 5.12 (atm not even released) or higher

it looks rather some other issue, you have a lot continuity errors all over the place, can you have a look if this gets better if you disable timeshift completely ?

You don't need to have continuity errors = 0, some errors here and there (especially at channel switching are quite normal)

have also a look at the TvH gui (maybe need to switch to expert mode) if the error incessantly increasing

the device is supported with kernel 5.12 or if you use dvb-latest at LE10 (LE default ships 5.10)

but currently we are not supporting the dvb-latest drivers at RPi, I can do a "special" build to support it but it MAY produce other problems I am currently not aware of
