Anyway, I used Wireshark and determined it was operating via SMB1 only.could you test an windows kodi if there is smb2 ?

If I get you right 1931+ works -> updatetime.
-
I uploaded some additional builds to get the faulty build.

I'm just building it from tvh git - so it is an Tvh problem.
it would be great if you can open an ticket here Tvheadend
The source of Tvh is quit complex to spot problems
FYI - all builds are done the same ways - I only changed the version at the build script which to get from Tvh git.
Perexg from Tvh is quit fast to fix those problems if you can describe them(I have no hardware so I can't provide something useful)

I have only an Unix machine but there was smb always worse then nfs in Kodi.

I want to support DVB Driver for TBS 5980 USB-Tuner, please.Should be support at the official TBS drivers and at crazycats.

So my question is:
-What is the maximum version of SMB supported by the samba client in current version LibreELEC ?
-Does it use this max version by default when connecting to a SMB server or does it need to be configured ? (Samba changelog references a client max protocol = SMB[X] option that can be added to smb.conf )
-Does anybody know how to verify which version of the protocol is being used for a given SMB connection? Surely it is in a logfile ?I'm not sure how it works but LE smb uses 3.6 -> SMB 2 is possible.
If Kodi is build for GPL 3 it uses samba 3.6. x and if not it uses samba 3.0
xbmc/Makefile at master · xbmc/xbmc · GitHub
xbmc/Makefile at master · xbmc/xbmc · GitHubso it should have 3.6 as client = smb2
btw I would always take NFS - at an WinServer a bit stupid ofc

to have drivers addon directly integrated to the same Official LE ...
there is something coming - not sure when not sure how - but an improvement
-
On my intel based HTPC, I had the error when trying to install TBS drivers.
This is fixed with the next version.
So I will turn to LE from OE when this drivers addon will integrate Official LE to have automatic updates ..this would takes a while - also the OE version didn't have Autoupdate !

LibreELEC.tv/package.mk at master · LibreELEC/LibreELEC.tv · GitHub
Version = 3.6.25
If I recall correctly, we tried in the past to update it to an current version but this fails due multible problems. As the benefit for this update isn't that big nobody has tried hard enough to update it

Not sure what is different in the repo from the test version you provided - but it works! The changes are from 1928 -> 1931
- http client: increase max. temporary buffer size limit for SAT>IP RTS
- access: tickets - cleanup, reuse, fix memory leak, fixes #3736 (Possible memory leak and DDoS issue)
- eit: always register mux for uk_freesat services, fixes #3740 (Freesat EPG - no OTA modules active)
- webui: import redirected css through @import, fixes #3738 (Issues with Microsoft Edge browser)O_o idk what fixes our problems ... everything doesn't sound like you should be affected.
I have made an rebuild 1928 (same as the repo has) could you pls test them - I want to rule out that our build system is borked.

I have made some Versions of Tvh (Generic, RPi2/3 and IMX6) test
pls test what is the highest version that is running for you (there is no issue at Tvh bugtracker atm) - I have choosen version 101 because the next update will overwrite this version and you didn't need to install some version manual !
-
If you have this error it would be nice if you can downgrade to an older LibreELEC Version + current Tvh 4.2 to rule out that LE is the problem (I can't reproduce it for me).
-
There is no Repo for 8.0 at the moment - they should be added soon.

will this build of LibreELEC work with nvidia cards like the OpenELEC-Nvidia_Legacy.x86_64-6.0.1-tbs-1.6.tarYes, in Generic is now these old Nvidia drivers included.
