there is nothing you can add, there is not patch or something we could include and i still haven't seen a dmesg so i completely out of options

official LE8 Beta1 has support for that (most likely), it uses the same driver as in the linked image
so nothing useful to offer for debugging sorry.
as far i can see there is no real reason why it won't work in 7.95.1, maybe the card needs an changed fw but that has to be tested as it is pure guess
So is there any work around to get this card working in 7.95.1 or am I going to have to downgrade ?
I release as usual a build with different drivers, BUT i guess the old drivers won't build anymore.
But you can send a dmesg | paste and I can have a look maybe a simple fix.

But you should be able to just use the Official LE8 Beta1 (7.95.1), they have already TBS included.
the 7.95.1 problem is already fixed (currently the link to the fixed image is not working)
I have really no idea why it only fails at vdr but I guess this is just the trigger for an problem that is already there but you won't see it.
you could try to blacklist the rc module "maybe" this worksecho "blacklist rc_tt_1500" >> /storage/.config/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf and rebbot
btw as soon the server is up i post you the fixed image for 7.95.1 maybe it is working there already ootb
this should be fixed in Beta2, I have a testbuild but the servers are currently down to give you the link
could you post a lsmod | paste ?
looks like the ir modules are "fighting" who is allowed to control something + driver errors 
Btw pls try LE8 Beta1 (make backup if you like to return to LE) if this work there, we have some heavy fix at LE8 Beta2 (not released) but i think this shouldn't matter here.

can't remember but looked like some real problems, btw used the same but won't build even at clean build O_o (maybe ccache did some magic)
*edit works* even with my old branch that i used for it to build (only rebased ontop of current LE8)
I uploaded a fixed version as soon the LE server are running again.
It was setup on OE6 back then with TBS-Crazycat drivers.

Yea I guess why not set this value to 64, have to read if it has some downside. Btw have you the possibility to test this (if i made a build)?

idk if you have default user or something ?! but whatever you have set up in pvr.hts won't work anymore with the current config

You can use the official LibreELEC 7.95.1 (LE8 Beta1) there is the support included.

yes known problem, official drivers do not compile at kernel 4.9 - so nothing i can do till they fix their drivers (the oss drivers that i use have no support for v7)

just put the le.img.gz image to the update folder and reboot, LE updates from LE.tar and from LE.img.gz
