We got some similar report too but without dmesg and with no reaction from the person who saw this, TX !
Index of /Test/tt4600/ there are 2 files, a version with the latest drivers and a version with the commit reverted from what I think is problematic
would be nice if you could test both and if one of these works pls send some dmesg | paste

But build is stopping at lirc (hunk #1 failed)The lirc ppl messed up their release and the "old" 0.9.4 is not the same like the new 0.9.4 so the patch won't fit anymore. Pls remove the zip file from the sources/ folder and repeat again.
I have a TBS 5680 DVB-C USB TunerThe Tuner is not yet supported by the TBS driver
Pls open an issue here and ask about it Issues · tbsdtv/linux_media · GitHub

use same mechanism for lirc configuration as ever?not too sure. there are some things about lirc recently but honestly no idea, you could wait for LE8 B2 there it should be fixed (if there is a problem)

the version from the repo ?

I have updated the LE7 version with the LE8 backport that includes the new settings and FritzBox Sat>IP support.
After install pls revisit your settings.

You have different options:
USB: TechnoTrend TT-connect S2-4600 or DVBSky S960 <- work ootb (both single tuner)
Sat>IP: DIGIBIT Twin (2 Tuners) or DIGIBIT R1 (4 Tuners) that provides you full featured DVB S2 over network (you still need some software to scan etc, it is only connecting the tuners via network)
Depending on your setup Sat>IP is very nice and works with nearly every software and OS (smartphone, pc, even normal st>ip receivers could handle the signal). I would avoid it if you use a RPi because of its problematic network port.

depends at the network you need
there are a lot devices that work and a lot that are known as problematic

LibreELEC-RPi2.arm-7.95.1-tt-3600.img.gz
this includes [media] pctv452e: move buffer to heap, no mutex · torvalds/linux@48775cb · GitHub
sounds pretty much like your problem, if this works pls give feedback and dmesg | paste (that I could fix it in official) -
Just to be curious: how long does it take to compile a LibreELEC release?depends, completely new ~4h (at a not slow pc), just a small rebuild 3-4min (like quickly add a new driver or something)

no idea but if it works

could you try LibreELEC-RPi2.arm-7.95.1-rc-all-modules.img.gz (that is a pre LE8 Beta2)?
RPi2/3 with the RC fix - maybe this is already fixed upstream and we don't need to waste our time at this problem
