Hi. Just wondering if a LE10 build (Matrix) with the patches is available still.
not really possible (just if you backport all needed patches + kodi improvements)

I do not understand your comment.
ntfs at Linux is really slow, its not a "native" filesystem (just a fuse driver) at linux at the moment thats the reason the driver its rather slow
so if you have a slow device combines with a slow fs you got very slow performance
I use an NTFS formatted disk for practical reasons, as it is meant to be plugged regularly on Windows machines.
thats why you have a NAS

At the kodi wiki it is explained how to change it
Settings/TV/Playback - Official Kodi Wiki
"Confirm channel switches by pressing OK"

Can you believe that I have not yet been offered a Samba bugzilla account or got any feedback from them after 3 attempts?
if there bugsystem is broken just try the mailing list
its sadly quite normal that linux stuff has no userfriendly way to report bugs etc
sometimes mailinglists are the only way, welcome to 1990

The download tool is currently broken due a server upgrade.
We have already a new version that works but that is not yet completely finished.
In the meantime please download the files manually and write them with rufus to usb/sd-card.

ok I can reproduce it, I will try to fix it asap today evening

Make sure you have the latest firmware update (forgot version, something from 2016) the versions before had major bugs.
Make also sure that you NOT enable idle scan at all 4 tuners, that triggers some firmware problem that crash the R1 after a while and you need to remove power for ~3-4hours (yes ... that long) or the box won't work anymore properly, if you have this disabled it works rock solid !
An alternative is a Enigma box and install Minisatip on it, works too (never personally tired it). If you have a Box with an FBC tuner you have basically unlimited tuners
And ofc, don't do PCI/USB cards at linux, the driver situation is a mess and bugs come and there is no stable base over the years.

If you device got too late the an internet connection or some other fubar happens that our addon server was not reachable you get just english as language.
But you can still just change the language at kodi, the function is just a "shortcut" doing the normal kodi way to do it.

we have a wiki article that covers it

yea thats still the same today, Hyperion just supports the old rendering engine and not the recent one

We are doing a 10.2.x at some point, currently there is not yet too much benefit from it.
You just need a build with the new kernel and it should just work.

The kodi webinterface is just a "remote" and nothing for playback.
You want something like Jellyfin, there it automatically converts the media that it works at your playback device.
These "transcoding" is rather beefy and the RPi and the other ARM devices do not support it properly.
A rather low end Intel is easily able to do it.

a media player with an old eebox b202
I had similar hardware, to summarize it, just don't use it.
It was very low end 12 years ago, and it is even more low low low end these days. It has basically no Linux support (media playback wise) and even at Windows you get barley Youtube working.
Get a raspberry or some used, for example, Lenovo ThinkCentre M710Q for ~100€.
They support todays media standards and the Lenovo for example can easily run everything from Windows 11 to any Linux.
