I haven't repeated the recording playback test after getting the media_build version.
this is essential, because they include completely different dvb drivers

Also, on the web config pages, I can't set any recordings, and my upcoming recordings etc aren't listed...
idk really, 7.0 uses the same tvh like 8.0 so it works. The only problem would be if you update from some old 4.0 install then it is known that it won't work
There is no /storage/.hts subdirectory - the TVHeadEnd configuration must be somewhere else.
the userdata is at /storage/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/service.tvheadend42
and the binaries are at /storage/.kodi/addons/service.tvheadend42
you could run systemctl status service.tvheadend42 if it shows something crazy
at /storage/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/service.tvheadend42/service.log you have the tvh log and you can look if there is happening something crazy
I can't really follow, does it works at 4.8 regardless if with or without media_build ? If yes then it is likely a usb problem (maybe something different) and has nothing to do with the dvb drivers. Of course it opens a gigantic field of possibilities ;D I try to find something suspicious. Btw I try to do you a 4.10 build maybe it is already fixed there and we can backport it.
but tvheadend isn't connecting
no cards are found or ?
Maybe you have some card that isn't supported yet at Home · tbsdtv/linux_media Wiki · GitHub
I can't turn on timeshift in tvheadend.
if you just updated it shouldn't change anything, or did you used Tvh 4.0 before ?
https://www.dropbox.com/s/l3rdalgiz61b4y...b.tar?dl=1 - Generic x86_64, ver. 8.0.0, kernel 4.8.13, with media_build
Would it be possible for you to prepare a media_build build as well?
tried the various test builds with the 4.9 kernel which you sent me last week
sorry i have serious problems to keep track at the used hw/problems from the ppls, i do a lot cross support at various boards and I often forget what the actually issue was ;D
Same problems here on x86_64 picture breaks up with continuity counter errors in tvh logfile.
what tuner do you use ? (pls test also Generic x86_64, ver. 8.0.0, kernel 4.8.13, with media_build - tx!! smp)
We are currently suspecting that some usb change made it worse then in 4.8, but still didn't found a solution.
as far as i know the official LE image should work with that card !
I have a wetek play 2 - dvb-s2 and a dvbsky s960.
like written at pm, not possible at the moment
As I am responsible for the inclusion/fixing of the tbs drivers you have still to mess around with me
we use now GitHub - crazycat69/linux_media: TBS linux open source drivers
ljalves -> tbsdtv (official oss tbs drivers) -> crazycat (tbs + more)
sadly you have to use the official images (I am still building latest versions of this driver etc .. for my images)
Hi cvh, any update on when 8.0 will be ready?
if you are looking for TBS Drivers they are also at the official image
the other things will takes some additional days as it throws an error I can't fix yet
Is it correct that you cannot run the internal tuner and a USB tuner at the same time.
no this is possible, but depending at the hardware this could lead in driver conflicts
btw, is it possible to buy you a beer w/o a paypal account?
sry, no other possibility
LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-7.95.1-ddbridge_v7.img.gz
sorry not the latest, got no time to finish my build yet
i try with an 4.8 image, btw you have plugged power connector to your S960 boxes ?
pls also test what trsqr recommended
ure thing, happy to do the testing to help resolve the issue.
Index of /Test/dvbskys960/
could you pls try all three
and a dmesg | paste would be nice btw a log via the settings addon
or would that be pointless?
pointless
If you like I post later (likely not today) some builds for testing.
