I like to do it but Tvh don't support it.
There is an fork that uses vaapi GitHub - lekma/tvheadend at codecs and that would allow AMFFmpeg too but this is not finished and the creator seems to be MIA

btw Iam subscribed at GitHub - tbsdtv/linux_media: TBS linux open source drivers
I am no help here, but as you already saw it is a driver problem, hopefully they can fix it (I can build an updated LE)
-
so lets guess cx231xx_dvb_ci is kind of broken, do you need the CI ?
If not you could blacklisting the module and maybe then the other stuff works.echo "blacklist cx231xx_dvb_ci" >> /storage/.config/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf
then try rmmod without the ci module -
I think the Killed answer is not normal message. Probably the dvb driver is crashed.yes this shouldn't be the correct response
I guess you have Generic LE8.
Here LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-8.0.1-cc-2017-22-03.img.gz is a version with the latest TBS drivers, maybe it is fixed. -
could you test if rmmod cx231xx_dvb_ci works ?
-
the segfault could be some strange "error"
could you post the output from lsmod | paste ?
-
the easiest way to test it
boot to normal LE
systemctl stop service.tvheadend42
rmmod cx231xx_dvb_ci cx231xx cx2341xthe rmmod ... has to work without an error - if you have an error you have to adjust the chain (you can't unload something that is used from another module), if you have a working unload chain you can also input it into the addon settings, then you won't need to do some script

We disabled a lot "trash emails" because it is too easy to generate spam from them and most important we waste a lot emails (they are not free at our count) at this accounts even if nobody needs/see them at all.
Of course you are still able to use such an email address, we don't actively ban or "punish" such email addresses or users.

I tried all 3 builds. However, these builds don't work whatsoever since Xorg fails to start with the following error in the logfile Xorg log: Failed to load /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/nvidia_drv.so: /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/nvidia_drv.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directorydamn ...
yea build error from my side -
I'll continue running this build for the rest of the day just to be sure, but early indications are good.okay next try Index of /Test/dvbskys960/
1.1-1.3 there are still more than enough commits between but somewhere we have to begin
-
This one seems to resolve the issueso revert 1 is not working, revert 2 is working so the problem is somewhere between
okay going to build some images
-
here are 3 versions (Generic) with partly reverted kernel 4.9
Index of /Test/dvbskys960/would be nice if someone could test it, if one of the images work it is much much easier to track down the faulty commit
-
It'll be a couple of weeks before a PR as I'm away on holiday soon.at least try it, maybe CC deny it maybe not
-
The build without media_build works fine for me.lol now we have every possible situation -.-
-
fHMZ is the diff.idk the origin of this patch and how it behaves between other cards, could you maybe try to pr these changes (besides the LE specific stuff) here GitHub - crazycat69/linux_media: TBS linux open source drivers
I have no experience about this card so a central point for these kind of patches would be nice. -
EDIT: Maybe this has to do with 32 bit vs. 64 bit? Media-build-edition of LE8 for C2 is 32 bit.yes it only works for 64bit
EDIT2: Aha, 32 bit version for RPi 3 works on C2! Still with the channel switching issue mentioned above. Okay,O_o lol ... okay why not
the switch issue should be a problem of the AML render engine - just setup tvh and connect with an windows kodi + hts client to check if tvh works like desired
-
These are all the changes I've made to get the image to buildI wasn't finished with the changes yet because I didn't found the /lib/usr/ mistake and then ran out of time. As soon I got a bit time I try to finish it. Tx for the diff, will speed up a lot
-
I have just been testing this build and the error is there too...tx now searching for the problem is a bit easier due the reduced commits to review
