or have a look at the LinuxServer.io repo (included in LE), there should be dockers for it

these Chipsets are known to be problematic, some work some not
I can't tell if its an driver problem or you use it "wrong".
If it is a driver problem I can't do anything, if you use it wrong I could guide you.

Just for info, the addon seems to only work for RPi atm - all other platforms are broken.
Nobody has the required HW to test it (iirc) and/or the skill to fix it.

if your Laptop is 32bit ONLY then x86_64 won't work
(64bit only)

i need it to update from 7.0.3 as when i try to update to 8.0.2 it dosent work
if 7.0.3 -> 8.0.2 doesn't work, then 7.0.3 -> 8.0.0 will not work too

AML has 3.10/3.14, RPi 0/1/2/3 has whatever is the current latest Kernel at kernel.org

kalashnikov I would add these progs (if there are no bigger problems) but can't test them at all - could you test it ? If so which platform/version of LE do you need ?
for generic LE8 ^^^^
szap-s2 was added because it was easyy and at the same page ;D
Would be nice if you can test if this works actually.

LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-8.0.2-TT3650-test-tbsofficial.img.gz
it is just an different driver package, if this is not working I build some other so we can rule out if it is a media_build or a driver used from media_build problem.

CvH there's any chance to update from the tvh of LE repo to your's remotly by ssh?
wget latest.tvh.zip
systemctl stop service.tvheadend42 <- stops tvh
extract zip to /storage/.kodi/addons/service.tvheadend42
systemctl start service.tvheadend42
kodi has no possibility to really install it via command line, you can only overwrite the addon files after you have already installed and activated the addon at least one time.

Are the Bugs fixed on the latest Release ?
there is no know problem with that, it is very likely some setting that has changed what introduce this problem

Was considering to buy a TBS 5520 SE. Anyone can tell me if now it works with Libreelec?
this is no LibreELEC problem more a general driver problem - as long none reports something back you can expect it as NOT working

4.2.xxx ist at our normal repo, you can just update to it via the repo (btw uninstall, install - user data is still there)
4.3 aka dev build could be just installed over an 4.1/4.2 build - currently no problem in doing this

I did a test build using kernel 4.9.29 with an older linux.arm.conf (for kernel 4.8.11).
the LE 4.8 config won't help because the evil setting should be already there and the 4.9 conf was made ontop of the 4.8 conf

i hope this helps a little bit
yea basically tells that it is a LE problem
"We" think the problem is some setting at linux.conf that behaves >=4.9 differently to =<4.8 .
That is the main difference between Raspbian and LE.
Sadly I am away for a week and can not provide some builds.
If someone is interested in the meantime and knows how to change it
difference of the kernel conf (Raspbian vs LE8) Ubuntu Pastebin
first thing to test
removing CONFIG_HZ_300=y
removing CONFIG_CPU_IDLE=y
if this won't help there are a lot other differences in the kernel conf (see paste link) too

Pls don't be astonished by the massiv size drop - we had forgotten (since some years .. wtf) to strip the Tvh binary.
But its not to much just 40%

Also going one level up (from thread to forum) is +1 click more for me.
it is actually just one click ?!
only 1 sometimes 2 posts on my tablet screen that I see
this gets fixed - the smallest view isn't trimmed at all and waste a lot space (the default theme waste space everywhere)
