this apparently means the grabbers won't work on Ubuntu systems
what grabbers ?
ISTR there was a PLP issue - but wasn't sure if that was driver or TVH related?
the same complete driver that works well at raspbian didn't works at LE (at the same kernel) - looks like we killed it somehow due our kernel.conf
sadly it looks like it should work so searching for bugs is a bit difficult for me as i have zero reception (working at an solution to have at least something that indicates if a signal is received)
-edit-
okay I have now a reception and the sticks works at raspbian like a charm - now Its time to fix it for LE
Will support for these make its way into the Amlogic builds?
yes very likely, I currently try to make it work at a single platform to reduce useless double efforts
just getting FAILs when I add UK Crystal Palace muxes manually
yes already seen that behaviour for others too - no idea why this happens
try 1.1 from here Index of /Test/xbox/
this is 100% the tree from trsqr so it should work - if not then it is a LE problem we have to find
Here is a dirt cheap DVB-C/T2 stick that actually works (hopefully) perfect at linux.
The stick is around 6£ and 12€ - so probably the cheapest stick at the market that didn't has to be shipped from china (and even then its damn cheap).
The linux drivers are rather new and thankfully provided by trsqr .
If you like to test this stick I made some image (currently only RPi2/3) - other images are currently building/testing,
Oh, I have a look tx.
The route I took I had to source both
at LE we have this already, lets see what happens tomorrow
maybe trsqr is nice enough to do a pr if it is finished
(I ordered one at Amazon to test for 11,50€ - fairly cheap)
any other pvr client would have looked the same
yes thats correct
the pvr clients are just redirect the streams, there is no "transcoding/changes" included (just if you enable transcoding at Tvh for some reason)
the pic quality is also independent from the used tuners
so if your picture quality isn't okay it is some setting at kodi or your hw (maybe miss configured settings at tv aka picture improvement settings that mostly create blurry images)
there might be a misunderstanding
You use Kodi as "player" that can easily work with "any" tv server you chose.
Regardless which tv server you choose (vdr, Tvheadend, MediaPortal ...) you have always the same design etc. at Kodi because Kodi has plugins named pvr.hts (Tvheadend) pvr.mythv, pvr.vdr ... that connect to your existing tv server. These plugins gathering all needed information from your tv server and "connect" them into Kodi.
So a popular setup:
HTPC + some DVB/ATSC card + LibreELEC
LibreELEC offers you as plugin a whole tv server (this is basically just some software running at the background).
So you install LE, install Tvheadend 4.2 addon -> go to http://ip-of-your-htpc:9981/ to get a webui where you can scan/sort/edit ... your channels. After that you just install pvr.hts and your channels are available at Kodi.
Tvheadend WebUi
default skin for kodi
could you post such a log ? HOW TO:Provide Logfile - LibreELEC
there are different cards - its hard to predict which one you are using
This may be due to changes in the kernel??
yes, media_build get dropped and is replaced as addon
if I can't ask this on here feel free to delete it.
yes this can't be asked here
for german legal iptv see here GitHub - jnk22/kodinerds-iptv: Kodinerds IPTV - Freie und legale Streams für Kodi
looks to me like that is android only
afaik aptx is the way to go for high quality bluetooth audio and is "industry standard" (rather new) and every higher quality device supports it (beside apple, but well same story every year)
at least we know you have an Smart Plus - LinuxTVWiki
from dmesg is everything okay - driver loads and it looks normal
When I connect my August key, RPi reboot automatically
That shouldn't happen at all, are you sure you have a proper power supply for the rpi ? did you see the rainbow square or the flash symbol at your upper right ? Maybe your power connection is too weak - from OS side (at least what the log tells) it looks okay
could you try it with an different power supply ?
powersupply, not smartphone charger !
Is there a database update missing?
do you use Kodi via mysql db ?
