It is written entirely in perl with no module dependencies
urgs, perl is a gigantic mess , so this is sadly not happening
any alternatives to rsnapshot ?
-
For now I resolved it buy staying on 8.2.0.1 which is working perfectly..
there is no 8.2.0.1 for the RPi so likely that wasn't the same problem
-
I asked milhouse if he sees something that could triggers that problem, I can't find something that is obvious
-
found the offending version which is in Milhouse 2017-09-12
the first not working version ? or the last working ?

Not good enough.
You only have a problem if you used an legacy setup (SMB1 is legacy since release of Win7) that is now deprecated from Windows 10 for very good reasons. If you setup your share properly in W10 (that includes user/pw) then it should work ootb for LE. Sadly there is still an "browse network" Button at Kodi that does only works for the legacy Samba version - that increases the problems at userside.

hmm

from my perspective this sounds like an ffmpeg/kodi problem, could you try to revert the builds till you have an working state ?

IR looks detected from kernel, so likely (my ir knowledge is VERY limited) some configuration problem. I pinged HiassofT as he is our personal IR/Lirc guru

the log shows a lot "server" errors, also 3:192.168.1.133 looks suspicious, maybe wrong ip at the settings (I never used the vu+ addon, so could be normal) - do you have some log at the Enigma side that maybe could hint to some problem ?
CodeERROR: PVR - GetEPGForChannel - addon '3:192.168.1.133' returned an error: server error ERROR: PVR - GetEPGForChannel - cannot get EPG for channel 'Prima +1 HD' from client '400091357': server error ERROR: EPG - Update - failed to update table 'Prima +1 HD' ERROR: PVR - GetEPGForChannel - addon '3:192.168.1.133' returned an error: server error ERROR: PVR - GetEPGForChannel - cannot get EPG for channel 'TV Barrandov HD' from client '400091357': server error

looks like it get the date too slow or not at all from the vu

WP2 and K1 should be good with the AML version in that folder

Hi, tx for contributing, do you have some git for this changes too ? Also might we "need" some of the change at the official LE ?
-
hmm driverwise there is nothing what I could activate/deactivate
could you share an dmesg | paste maybe it hints to something
-
where to download?
not yet, I could build you some version if you like - but then I need the device you use
-
i just commented out the whole function

The feature lock down and a lot viewes, the menu editor is very powerful.
Not sure if it has exactly the view you want but likely something that would do it too. And yes you could completely shut that skin down for child usage
