of course, just take nightly and remove "code" tag from your post.

I will monitor your work, thanks for the Libreelec image adapted for this box.
Don't forget that I probably won't post new image here anytime soon, unless there is something to test. Use nightlies instead, they are build almost every day and include all improvements.

libreelec 16
What is that? Maybe you mean old OpenELEC ports with Kodi 16? Anyway, anything not recent is not supported in any way from me.
Im having issues with the pvr iptv simple client with network streams. seam to be crashing or having system lock ups.
First try to manually build image and addon. Only that way you can be completely sure that Kodi and addon match. With nightlies this is not always the case.

Hard to say what could be wrong.
Currently we know that Eachlink boxes, albeit very similar to Tanix TX6, have problem with HDMI, to the point that HDMI connector status must be forced to "always connected" with kernel parameter in order to work.
There are for sure some issues with HDMI, but none of them occurs with HW I own.

Vital_22 Such issue I experienced long ago with different H6 board but not recently. It might be temperature, but that also depends on your cooling solution and ambient temperature. Where I am, ambient temperature is 25°C, what's yours? I never experienced any issues with Tanix TX6. I use stock radiator but housing is removed (only bare PCB).
Temperature driver will be added at later time, once it's ready for mainline.
P.S. Please don't use code tag for normal text.

Pine64+ ethernet fix is already in LE git master, so it will be available with next nightly image.

All improvements has been merged into LibreELEC git master, so they will be available in next nightly image.

GDPR-22 danilo-jlle This image should have fixed ethernet on Pine64+, please test and report:
libreelec-a64.arm-9.80-devel-20190825133148-5c3df44-pine64-plus.img.gz
shahidali55 There were tons of updates in mainline linux in drivers important for HDMI audio. We'll need some time to pull them and integrate them to LibreELEC, because some of our own improvements conflict with them. As far as I can see, some updates fix number of issues, so I'm optimistic it will help in the end. Please be patient.
BTW, reason why only YT seems to work is that YT vides may have different audio format than the ones you are trying to watch.

Yes, it should work. There is a question if "bs" has optimal size, but it only affects flashing speed.
Please note that you'll completely overwrite Android. Do a eMMC backup (also with dd) if you ever want to restore it.
-
Ah, yes, then eMMC is /dev/mmcblk1. Anyway, let me know if you can boot from eMMC. I already got one confirmation but it's always good to get more

-
eMMC - put the image on /dev/mmcblk1, remove sdcard and reboot?
I believe that eMMC is /dev/mmcblk2, but please double check. BTW, these changes are not in any public git, I'm looking in another issue with Pine64+ and once solution is found, I'll make a PR to official LE git.
-
GDPR-22 I reproduced the problem and I found out the issue is that power up sequence (enabling voltage regulators) of ethernet PHY (RTL8311E) may not be correct. I'll try to found a workaround.

Here is new Tanix TX6 image with eMMC, HDMI-CEC and RTC fixes:
libreelec-h6.arm-9.80-devel-20190824143152-5c3df44-tanix-tx6.img.gz
I would love if someone can test this and confirm that eMMC and HDMI-CEC now work. This should put Tanix TX6 image on feature parity with other H6 boards.

Here is new test image with working eMMC:
libreelec-h6.arm-9.80-devel-20190824084038-5c3df44-tanix-tx6.img.gz
-
Nightly images for Tanix TX6 should be available starting tomorrow. This thread will still be used for test builds and discussing Tanix TX6 specific issues.
BTW, I also have possible solution for eMMC.

How to get serial output? Don't know what is it.
Please read http://linux-sunxi.org/uart and beelink_gs1#adding_a_serial_port_.28voids_warranty.29
This is unfortunately the only way to get any useful clue what's going on.
I'm wondering how to keep the board updated and not lose the wifi fix. Any ideas ?
This is only possible by building your own images by constantly pulling changes from LE git master and carrying wifi changes atop.
Audio over HDMI only works consistently when using the YouTube add on. Playing files from SMB share brings out crisp video, but no audio.
HDMI audio is known issue but unfortunately hard to figure out.
-
I can only give you generic advices:
1. try with different HDMI cable
2. give me serial output after box is booted (you have to edit extlinux/extlinux.conf and remove console=tty1 before)
-
Tried. But it doesnt boot, black screen
I don't have it, but asked two devs and both confirmed they are able to run LE. One of them specifically tested LibreELEC-H6.arm-9.80-nightly-20190817-6d67cfc-beelink-gs1.img and reportedly it works fine.
Dumb question, did you check that you flashed correct image? There is also Beelink X2 image, which is for H3 SoC.
