I played the test file from post #1 with this result (RPi3B+, LE 10.0.3):
External Content pastebin.comContent embedded from external sources will not be displayed without your consent.Through the activation of external content, you agree that personal data may be transferred to third party platforms. We have provided more information on this in our privacy policy. It has subtitles and no audio. However, it doesn't crash my audio system, so I still have audio after playing the file.
My current theory is a bad audio driver. It just shouldn't crash, whatever it plays.

I gave that topic into internal team channel, but no reply. You have to experiment now.
We can provide further help when you have the DAC.

Because LE doesn't have apt-get to install rockpi4-dtbo, it's eventually present as an overlay on LE (check the folder).
So maybe you have to activate two overlays to make a HiFiBerry DAC+ work.
-
Interesting! To my knowledge it's possible to redirect pin functions to other pins. So that's probably what they did in the rockpi4-dtbo.

hello, I have a Rock pi4C+, I want to connect a HiFIi Berry to it. Is it possible to run it?
No. All RockPi4 models have the same pin assignment, which is not compatible to RPi4: Click!
Use an HDMI audio extractor or a USB DAC.

Intel users can update to 10.0.3. Only issues on AMD hardware.

The change logs are not very detailed. You have to figure it out by trying the latest nightly: Click!

I didn't know CEC is related to audio, but it seems like it is. The log says it all. Go RPi -> TV -> AVR instead, or use both HDMI outputs.
PS: If your setup is just RPi -> TV, then incompatible CEC breaks your audio.

No CEC on HDMI-1 is normal, no audio on HDMI-0 isn't. We need a log for the HDMI-0 setup.

Where can I find the LE11 nightly for RPi4B?

Every audio interface / DAC with standard ASIO driver works on LE.
An audio interface is a DAC plus input (ADC).
You could convert from TRS to RCA by a cable.
If you definitely need RCA output, take this (I think it also uses standard ASIO driver): Click!
If you want to record, then LE isn't the right software, and you need a DAW instead.
However, you can use the same audio interface for both software.
Not sure which driver is used by the UMC202HD. Ask the Behringer support team about Linux compatibility.

Yepp, this works. You can select a supported USB-DAC on LE's audio output settings.
Here are two supported devices from Behringer and Cambridge Audio: Click!
