Hi, I have som oprton of buying some android boxes here in my town, all three of them have these speecs: Amlogic S905W, 1gb ram... different brands like mecool(the most expensive one with android 7.1) and one brand was T95m(androiid 6 I think this one was running), and some even cheeper one....
If I am going to boot from a microsd card and run latest stable Libreelec on them, does the brand even matter? And does the version of android matter, if it is 6, 7 or 8?
OK, just wanted to know the thing about chipsets and the importance they play, now i know it doesent matter, thanks....
ok, I was thinking of the Nvidia GT 730 and GTX 660 cards.....
When installing LE into a USB stick and using it as a mediaplayer in a PC.
If using the same Nvidia graphicscard in 2 different motherboards with different chipset, will there be any differences in stability/performance when playing video files(1080p videos with HW on(vdpau) like H.264 and VC-1.)
Or does LE only rely on what CPU and GPU to perform regardles of what motherboard one is using.
ok, I will do that
ok, thanks, the reason also for asking is i read this in the new 8.2.5: "We also bump both nVidia drivers in the Generic x86_64 image, resolve an MCE remote problem" , but Im sure it has nothing to do with video quality/stability.....
I will keep the 8.2.3, if it aint broken, dont fix it they say...
Hi, my first post here, tnaks for a great way to use Kodi with Libreelec, Im so thankfull for everyone involved to makes this happeing, THANKS!!!
I have a PC with LE 8.2.3 on a USB stick, so far it works great, good picture good sound in my home cinema, Is there any reason for me to "upgrade" to 8.2.5? Do I gain anyting in sound/picture qualiry and stability?
I am only watching 1080p VC-1 and H.264 videos with Vdpau activated and letting Kodi put out PCM 5.1 sound(I have on older receiver that will not take bitstream). IM Happy..
(My PC if it matters: intel celeron 1610 with a Nvidia GT 730 Graphics card and 6Gb RAM, and its connected to my receiver threw HDMI and then further to my 55" samsung 1080 led TV)
