    I noticed a later version 20200224 on the server. Ive upgraded to it . I tested the AAC 5.1 video file used before and it played in 2 channels only on first play. It sounded OK without the intermittent playing but rear channels were playing from the the front speakers. Also the channel indicator on the amp showed only 2 channels were active.

    If I stopped play and reselected the file to play in a few seconds it played in all 6 channels. If I leave and come back after 10 minutes it defaults into the erroneous mode.

    So after a couple more updates I'm now at running Nighlty "LibreELEC-RPi4.arm-11.0-nightly-20220228" and the first play AAC 5.1 file are still playing intermittently on first play.

    I'd like to raise the issue I found with AAC 5.1 audio conversion.

    The problem I found is a file with AAC 5.1 audio is played, it sounds broken with approx intermittent 1 second bursts of audio and approx 1 second of silence.

    Strangely it does this only on the first play. On the second play and subsequent plays the sound converts OK and sounds fine. This problem goes back to the fix posted in this thread almost 2 months ago. If you read back I reported it in January. Reported first here. RE: Librelec Nightly Dolby Digital transcoding bug

    I took a video of the first and second play uninterrupted. Posted to youtube.

    I uninstalled the "embuary.info" add on as suggested then upgraded to "LibreELEC-RPi4.arm-11.0-nightly-20220219-ae4b7da" without doing a new image. If it worked it would save me time reinstalling the argonone fan and button drivers.

    I also upgraded to the latest nightly LibreELEC-RPi4.arm-11.0-nightly-20220222-ae4b7da and that to seems stable.

    There is no crashlog so I assume it's OK. if it crashes I'll post the log her

    Thanks for your assistance and for your time.

    frakkin64 Thanks, I'm using RPi 3 stable, so I was just guessing. Let's see that log.

    OK is this an SSH command line or do I need to edit a file on the RPi or a file in the tar upgrade file? I'm willing to learn but it might be easier to burn to a SD drive.

    OK, I made the changes to config.txt but did not see anything other than bootid etc. in the Cmdline.txt file. I downloaded the latest nightly. LibreELEC-RPi4.arm-11.0-nightly-20220215-8a018bd.tar and tried an update. It looked OK for a while then kodi rebooted a few times before going into safemode.

    Log is http://ix.io/Removed.

    Probably remnants of the many attempts to get it working. It's never been a problem put fair call. I'll disable it.

    I tried the recent nightly LibreELEC-RPi4.arm-11.0-nightly-20220213-fcba5db and notice it's rebooting every 20s or so.

    I'm seeing similar to LibreELEC-RPi4.arm-11.0-nightly-20220213-fcba5db.

    Kodi is rebooting every minute or so and eventually going into safe mode.

    How did you do it? I can't get video out of that case no matter what I did. Spent 10 hours trying with the help of the forum. Is your Argon case a V2? Do you have an SSD?

    By default video is from HDMI port 0 which is the one nearest the edge. Make sure the connector "clicks" in. Some cable connectors are a bit short and don't fit due to the case thickness. Try another cable if you have one. If you have trouble you can try loosen the circuit board and push while re-tightening to get it as close to the cable hole as possible. You may get the 0.5mm required to make it work. I bought an expensive cable which had a bulky connector housing and was making intermittent contact. I wasted hours sorting it out. I ended up filing a hole in the housing to accommodate the connector molding.

    I did notice something odd when playing AAC 5.1 first. The audio was crackling and interrupted. If I play an E-AC3 or AC3 first and return to the AAC 5.1 file it plays fine. These files are all Dolby Digital Sample files which were converted from AC3 to AAC and E-AC3. I replicated this with the latest update today. I have H264 and H265 mkv videos.

    I've attached a shortcut to the logfile. http://ixio/3MDd

    Hi Chook,

    Yes I do have pi and system tools installed along with adafruit libraries.

    I uninstalled the script and done it again using the above method but still not working no fan control. The script says it installed fine but there is an error that says "too many errors from stdin" after installing the script.

    Any ideas?

    I assume you edited the argononed.config file.

    Mine looks like this.

    # Argon One Fan Speed Configuration

    #

    # Min Temp=Fan Speed

    42=12.5

    44=25

    46=50

    48=100

    chook

    You should do this by jimmyneutron.

    1. Edit the argonone-config file on line 35, 36, and 37 to reflect:

    echo 55"="10 >> $daemonconfigfile

    echo 60"="55 >> $daemonconfigfile

    echo 65"="100 >> $daemonconfigfile

    2.Edit the argononed.py line 75 to reflect:

    /storage/.config directory

    fanconfig = ["65=100", "60=55", "55=10"]

    2. Create a sh file and name it autostart.sh and in that file copy and paste this script and save:

    place file in /storage/.config directory

    #!/bin/sh

    (

    python /storage/.config/argononed.py

    ) &

    3. Edit the argononed.service file in the /storage/.config/system.d directory and add this command to line 8:

    ExecStart=/bin/sh -c ". /etc/profile; exec /usr/bin/python /storage/.config/argononed.py"

    4. Go to terminal and test by running ./argononed-config

    5. Fan will run at those values.

    It was a long process getting it working. I feel your frustration.

    I am not a coder. but a long time xbmc user.
