Okay fixed it, all I had to do was to add some xrandr commands to the auto start.sh file to force it into booting into 1680x1050

I am not so new to Kodi but this is my first libreelec installation and everything works like a charm except for one thing and that is the resolution .It defaults to 1024x768 and doesn't allow me to change it to anything higher. I know this is xorg's fault but how do I go about adding custom xorg.conf files and stuff like that.

I am running libreelec on a PC

Or is there an alternative way of adding custom resolutions
