  • RPI B+ UHD (4k) downscale

    Hello,

    I wanted to ask you, if there is maybe a setting, where UHD (4k) video downscaling to 1080p with the RPI B+ is possible ?

    I have two different players. One player is a "cheap" S905X Player with latest Libreelec and when I play a 4k video, it will downscale to 1080p successfully.

    When I play the same movie on the RPI B+ with Libreelec 8.2.5, the RPI crashes.

    I upgraded to Libreelec 9 Beta and with that version, the RPI does not crash, but only playing the sound.

    I have read, that the RPI cannot output 4k and that's ok for me. But also not downscaling ?

    My questions therefore: Is it possible to downscale a 4k video with the RPI B+ ? Wondering that S905X can but RPI B+ cannot.
