Does it freeze forever, or just for some time?
Its on My Cloud home network 24tb using NFS over 6000 Movies and 40,000 TV show episodes and scrolling my Movies it freezes up and I wait for 10 minutes till I unplug and reboot. If I find the Movie right away it plays fine
This forum is the wrong place, because you already mentioned in other postings that it's about the HDHomeRun add-on. Please use the support forum of HDHomeRun. I'm sure they are very interested in feedback of heavy DB users.

Depends on your hardware. If you have an RPi like me, you can safely update to 9.0.1. If you have an Intel, at least one issue (video stuttering) will be fixed with 9.0.2, so you better wait for that version.

With encryption on Blu-ray you will not be able to play them on KODI. You will need to rip them first to HD

Yes, it's sad, you bought new hardware to fix it.
Maybe your library so large that HD HomeRun developers don't test this scenario very well. Hopefully they'll give you hints, how to solve it. Without a debug output of the app, we really can't do anything here.

The output is fine, no need to expand any memory. I think the app of your HD HomeRun could be bad. You should ask those guys (see forum link above).
That was my thoughts KODI it self has always been solid its the addons which makes it unstable. Been with KODI since the beginning of XBMC had problems with Raspberry but the size of library always showed lack of memory is why I went with a NUC
OK. It could help to see the output of "free -m" and "df -hT" shortly before it freezes (like after 50 min. or so). Maybe we can find out where most memory is needed.

I don't see relevant errors at the log file. The freeze sounds like a memory overflow. The RAM of the Gigabyte NUC should be large enough (still expandable by a swap file, if necessary).
Maybe it's the size of tmpfs. I can't change it on my RPi, but LE on PC is maybe different. Can you post the output of "cat /etc/fstab" please? That's the place to change tmpfs size on a standard Linux. When it's empty, we probably can't change it from there.
Using Putty cat /etc/fstab shows empty

Libreelec 9.0.1 contains Kodi 18.1
So your saying it won't work on BRIX
I have NUC Gigabyte Intel Celeron J1900 Mini PC Barebone Components GB-BXBT-1900 with LibreElec 18.1 on it when using the supplied HDhomerun app after hour or so the live TV freezes and after a reboot when launching HDhomerun it freezes
Aroosha… Thanks a ton for your help, this is exactly what I was looking for. I had been looking all over for stuff, but it seems everyone that has a good 4k build always has the Caveat "will support 8bit, not 10bit" etc... going to look into this odroid-n2 and CoreElec today.

I'm very sure the target USB device is the bottleneck. Try to install it on an internal drive (SSD or M.2).
Boot time is 13.54 seconds ! Crazy FAST smooth jumping around my Library ! So much better than Raspberry with no crashes !
