Minim8s S905 not restarting after reboot again, using update folder method.
Won't boot android either.
All the update process was fine, till automatic reboot.
I wonder what I can do to trace the problem before I use the usb male male method again

Used my old HTPC as a fallback. Freshinstall of latest libreelec beta in under 5 minutes.
Now I can watch my backlog...

I'm going to start getting it to work again, hope I'll manage.

Tried to update latest, ie beta4 on a miniM8s s905.
Seems like it's bricked.
Did the update through smb in the update folder.
I think it's bricked because even the android boot doesn't work, ie without sdcard. I never did an internal flash install to keep the android system in case of problem.

I tried the reset button method, flat eeg...
Nothing reacts.
Usually, the screen reacts almost instantly at boot, with or without sdcard, reset button pressed or not.
Here there's really no reaction at all.
I'm out for some hours, will investigate later, probably 5 to 6 hours from now.

The problem is, although Hi10p has always been in the H264 specs, since no one uses it in the commercial space, hardware manufacturers never implemented it.
Why would they build hardware specs no one uses?

H264 Hi10p is to my understanding mostly used for anime. Or at least some subbing groupe used it.
Why? because it reduces encoding banding , and anime encoding is very prone to banding.

But since these applications are not commercial ones or are even labeled as illegal ones, why would they now create hardware decoding for that purpose?

Just a little question, with Beta 1 and 2 in TVH client I need to press enter twice to get the full screen image. From a fresh install on a separate SD card.
It's probably just a tvh client setting I might have missed?

There's a french replay service that works in android mode on my generic S905 box.
I'd like to launch that app from libreelec if possible. But I understand I might be asking something stupid

A simple update leads to an error: incompatibility beetween S905.arch64 and S905.arm

Regarding twitch, it seems there's something happening with buffering/cache.
If you insist on starting a stream, it will work around the fourth time if it did not the first time.
I press enter every 2 seconds approximately. Should work by the fourth time.

Since usbaudio is getting better with the krypton build, there's a little problem I'd like to mention:
After a reboot, I have to power cycle my usb speakers to get the audio.

I had the same problem with my old htpc with libreelec. No problem with ubuntu or windows. And no problem with openelec.

So I guess there's something different with usb devices management that explains the behavior ?

What should I give as logs, command output or anything to track the cause ?

On my minim8s with usb sound, it works fine. No more problems with sound.
And since the repos updated, I've been able to install confluence back. So I'm more positive than last time.
