That appears to have worked. Here's the process I followed:

    • Back up the above 3 folders + config.txt from the FAT32 partition (for MPEG license)
    • Download and write a fresh LibreElec .img to the sdcard using dd
    • Boot the pi to confirm good write and allow for /storage resize
    • Have a minor heart attack because the backed-up folders are hidden by default
    • Shutdown the pi and rsync the folders over their original locations
    • Boot pi

    Nice. Thank you chewitt

My RasPi2 fails to boot following a power cut. When powered on it sits at the colour box and goes no further.

My options are blast the latest image over the top of the sdcard or try and fix the busted MBR (if it's that - don't know at the moment).

Writing a new image over the card means I lose all my settings and configuration. The sdcard is still accessible and I can view/read/write files.

Is there a way to back up the LibreElec settings (PVR client, various GUI tweaks, WiFi settings etc)? A folder I can copy/restore or similar?

The Pi itself is fine - it boots w/o issue using a fresh image/sdcard.
