Ah, ok, no problem, you need putty to login as user root with password libreelec, on the installation start ssh must be set to on.

When you on the system do this:

mount -o remount,rw /flash

nano /flash/syslinux.cfg

Add the command and with crl+o you save it, ctrl+x leaves nano.

type reboot and the system will reboot thats it..

Addiing i915.glkhdmi=2 in /flash/syslinux.cfg works with my J5005-ITX on Bios 1.30, this Bios is availiable for the J5005-ITXand the J4105-ITX from Asrock.

Testet, start stops on the start screen from Kodi 18, this by doing an Update of an existing installation.

Will test a clean install now,

Clean Installation the same.

Tested on two Motherboards, Asrock J5005-ITX and Asrock Fatal1ty AB350 Gaming-ITX/ac and Ryzen 5 2400G, on both the same, start freezing on Kodi start screen.

something with driver … that why even after kodi didn't started. That not installer issue, I will try port kernel config from ubuntu

Can anyone try a Kodi 18 Build for AMD please?

7.42.0 works with an Ryzen 5 2400G with high CPU Usage at about 50%, CPU Usage is to hih for an A12-9800E.

6.42.2 works not with AMD, no Hardware Acceleration.

7.42.0 has other issues, no language selection, no connection to tmdb.org.

The issues on the videos coming up by hgh bitrate videos like Boston or Blade Runner 2049, the milhouse 9.0 builds useng open gl 4.5 and mesa 18.1.1.

Any news for AMD Hardware?

All build the same, switched now to 8.2.5-6.42.2, please see attachment, with LE9 Milhouse it looks perfect, but here you have the HDMI Issue.

Tested with this build, 8.2.5-6.42.1-kernel-4.16.13, - i915.glkhdmi=2 is working with an Asrock J5005-ITX and Bios 1.30 wich is the latest in the moment.

A remark to your build which i'm using on Gemeni Lake Board, on some Films like Blade Runner 2049 the Video looks like problems with decoding colour information, this is not the case with LE9, tomorrow i will make a picture of it.

Tested with Ryzen 5 2400G no change by switching between vdpau and vaapi, interesting, the MPEG4 Hardware Acceleration where off by default.

Remark, going to limited colour space 16 - 255 brings CPU Usage down to about 35%.

Just run the image how it is, how to switch?

I have tested both AMD Build with an A12-9800E CPU (Radeon R7 GPU), no Hardware Acceleration on GPU for 4K MKVs.

Test with Ryze 5 2400G, the 0927 image is not usable, no Hardwareacceleration at all, on the 0925 Version CPU Usage ist at about 50% by playing 4K MKVs.

Board is an Asrock Fatal1ty AB350 Gaming-ITX/ac with lates Bios.

i.915.glkhdmi=2 is working on an Asrock J5005-ITX.

Will test to, i have an Asrock Fatal1ty AB350 Gaming-ITX/ac Mainboard, a Ryzen 5 2400G CPU and a A12-9800E CPU for testing.
