Pleeeese help...
Hello Ive recenty bought new WIFI dongle with 5ghz support (Netis)
And noticed it works only when Ive unplug it from USB port and plug it again after LE start.
It will not work after system reboot.
I wonder if there is a way 'restart' usb port from command line / script - so I can simulate same thing Im doing manually right now.
Or maybe there is other way to tell LE to rescan USB port and bring my dongle to life...
Sorry for misspell - I meant obviously VNC server (Virtual Network Computing)
Im in rush because im in partens house and need to install that before I leave, because those are old people and will not manage LE / Rpi
But both are big fans of LE
QuoteIndeed. There is no such thing for LibreELEC.
PS. So what is that ?
GitHub - OpenELEC/unofficial-addons: OpenELEC unofficial addons
Hi Ive installed newest LE on Rpi-3 and cant see unofficial-addons repository
Ive followed this: OpenELEC - unofficial addons 2
But there is no such repository available. I can see 2 other repos but not LE unofficial..
I need urgently instal VLC but stuck here ...
Please help / advise !
I'm not interested to keep image small on my disk but looking more for recovery time
I've found this in the meantime GitHub - Drewsif/PiShrink: Make your pi images smaller!
Will give it try
How about using clonezilla to clone to a separate sd card?
Never used this app. Will it produce smaller file backup size than real partition size?
In my case problem is not file size itself (I can still zip it) but more restore time
(win32 disk writer has to write every single byte on sd even if partition is mostly empty)
Thank you both for your reply
I know this backup method but Im doing a lot of tweaks in system (eg change boot logo) and standard backup seems doesnt cover that
Hi I'm doing full sd backup by win32 disk writer
Problem is my sd is 16gb so backup is huge also takes ages to restore
Is there any easy way to shrink this img file? I think it should be no more than 1gb
Maybe there is other imaging to which do not copy empty partition?
Thanks a lot works as a charm !
Hi
Is there any option to toggle smb on / off from command line ?
I know I can do that via add-on but I have few raspberries in my network don't want to visit all with remote ....
I guess there must be some config file disabling this service
Thanks
