UPDATE YOUR BIOS FIRST

Bios update instructions: BIOS Update Instructions for Intel® NUC

TRIVIAL: Enter Bios setup [F2] -> Advanced boot options -> OS system = LINUX + turn off secure boot [Security]

Follow the above instructions to create your USB installation drive.

It's a Medion NAS. But it's clearly fast enough to view 1080P, and has been for the last 4 years. Cables are short, Cat 6 minimum.

My old trusty Intel NUC DN2820FYKH on Openelec Kodi 14 developed some problems with Youtube. After upgrading to the latest OpenElec, more problems arose than were solved. Then I discovered LibreElec, and installation was flawless. Everything works as it should, but there's one little thing I could need some help with.

Playback of music MP3 files results in the first 3 seconds playing, instantly skipping to the next song. M4A files are skipped immediately. Playing FLAC files leads to instant Kodi soft restart. Playing movies is no problem. Sound is working.

The NUC is running on the latest BIOS firmware.
