netflix is not smooth (720p/1080p) but compared to S912 much better.
thought on RK3328 netflix would be smooth....
anyway, for local video files its working fine but i will keep my S912 box, its cooler and overall better build quality

i can only tell you what in my case i had troubles with and it seems audio HDMI passthough works now, no more interrupts.
have to do deeper test but kwiboo and all others did a stunning job!
install on emmc is possible but i did it not yet but maybe now as no more issues for me.
have to try netflix and if it works smooth, RK3328 is better then S912
remaining still the blinking LED

well, not every TV Vendor gets an Netflix certificate, only the big players which sell a lot of TVs and the secret of Netflix who gets certified.
So, in my case and therefore thought a android box would be the best solution....but not S912 and on RK3328 HDMI passthrough is not ready
My first use case was a box for MKV playback und second for streaming.

thanks for all the information and i checked, dirty regions is already disabled
so, on ATV ROM also DD5.1 will work with optical? My playbar is connected to TV with toslink/SPDIF converter
any recommendation which ROM to use?
sorry for OT....
thx!

so you are the first one with S912 with smooth Netflix streaming or what and how are you using streaming?
which LE image you use and which settings for inputstream please?
-
for Video files the S912 works great with LE, better than the RK3328 ones.
But for streaming the S912 is horrible, to be honest i dont understand why it works on S905 and what AML did wrong with the S912
I understand driver missing but why AML missed it?

burn to sd card
replace dtb
change dtb name in extlinux.conf on LE SD Volume
plug in sd card, power on X7
enjoy
-
i tried LE on my X7 and dtb from ROC CC and Rock64 works, but i guess no Wifi, didnt test.
sd card, change dtb in extlinux.conf file

mhm, not working for me, reboots all the time for x264/x265 MKV files.
-
thats normal, mo123 has to build own version or kwiboo should add the "workaround" for this builds
-
Kwiboo, before it test, how about HDMI passthrough what i need mandatory?
changelog looks great, brilliant work, keep on it so rockchip will be better then AML
whats the GUI Limit options for? to see it expert mode needs to be enabled
testsamples:
HDR, HEVC worked
GUI limit, didnt see any impact, whats it for?
not working, judder
-HDMI passthrough
-anime
-VP9
will use AML until HDMI passthrough not working

does someone have a test file with LPCM, duration longer than 10 minutes?
-
feedback for TRN9:
23,976fps:
-still audio drop outs with DTS, AC3 i have to test
-no more kodi issues, smooth handling now.
-
sounds great, let me know when i can test i am burning for testing
in worst case i have then 3 boxes to use
-
playback from local usb? its only usb 2.0 so check bitrate of your files
you could also try CE
-
looking forward and will give rockchip a second chance
i am excited

i see you are doing a lot commits, any ETA for a new build to test?
