all fine with an Haswell i3 (D34010WYBH) and LE 9.2 (=: 9.1.001) clean/fresh installed.
I've never seen settings for backup or was asked for (apart from "where to store")
it seems there is some progress regarding m88ds3103 and dvbsky related devices ...
today I stumbled at this:
search for "m88ds3103" or "dvbsky" near the end of the page !
maybe
HDAT2/CBL Hard Disk Repair Utility
don't know if it is for sdcards too !
P.S.
did you mean with "SD Card format" from here:
Yes, you are right. Sky is pay-TV, but all HD+ Channels also. So it is no problem mit decryption. This works fine.
"... mit decryption"
Du Deutsch ?, metoo !
andere Sender, anders Verschlüsselung !
different tv channels, different enryption !
Astra 1M (19.2°E) - Alle Übertragungen - Frequenzen - KingOfSat
column No. 6
IMO, HD+ decryption cards ONLY encrypts a subset of all encrypted channels
- but maybe I'm in the wrong movie/doesn't understand that right/being outdated -
thanks for response and advice.
I'haven't read the thread regarding your problem, but my short and maybe inadequate answer is: SKY is pay-TV and therefore encrypted.

I'm currently running an Telestar DIGIBIT R1 with default firmware, LibreElec and TvheadEnd (all lastest relase).
It happens to me - don't when it starts - that only channel EuroNews (SD not HD TV) is sometimes partly full of artefacts (every 10-20 seconds).
All other SD channels are running without any artefacts.
Also running EuroNews directly from TvHeadEnd-Webinterface via VLC: NO artefacts !
Means to me: all settings regarding Dish and "reception" should be correct, so there should be only one or two small settings I miss.
Idea's ?
P.S.
tested satip-FW (not that deeply), but so far without luck cause not all channels where found compared with default FW.
okay !
please drop me a mail if my statements at LinuxTVWiki become in-valid
or
Are you so kind to change/remove my statements at LinuxTVWiki yourself if things change ???
I'm not really opften here ...

Btw.: happy new year !
moons ago I made entries under the bold word "Update" regarding linux support for
TerraTec Cinergy S2:
https://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/terratec_cinergy_s2_r2#update
and
TechnoTrend TT-connect S2-4600:
https://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/technotrend_tt-connect_s2-4600#update
to prevent other user from buying unsupported/painfull hardware/seller.
Question(s):
=========
Are my statements under the above links still valid or should I remove them ???
from your log in #138 I can't fetch that your usb-tv-stick *is* running, it's waiting for firmware upload...
So my special questions to you are:
Did your device ever finished uploading the firmware !
or even better
Are you ever able to watch TV on it (without driver bugs/hickup's, etc) ?
P.S.
I'm not completely sure, but I guess everyone should be able to change/remove my entries in the above links at LinuxTVWiki if you feel so or if my statements there currently became invalid.
I especially stress the last sentence cause I'm not really often come around this thread any more - is this a correct english wording ? - after switching to an Sat-IP-Server.
Anyhow wiki entries should be correct !

Has anyone come across an IR remote that also has keyboard/mouse? For example I have this remote in the picture now, but it just has a USB dongle believe for RF.
Also, any possible way to make a speaker system (Logitech Z623) that didn't come with IR, work with the Harmony or any IR remote? Via adapter or something?
NOT an remote with keyboard/mouse: I use as Keyboard a "Perixx Periboard-701 Plus".
Has a touchpad, an RF-Key and great battery-life. size: like a notebook keyboard
alas sold anymore.
I guest this might work:
Sound:
As I'm using a computer monitor with 3.5 mm audio out I'm able to drive my speaker via remote (Harmony 350 <=> internal IR, turns NUC OFF)
dito connecting 3.5 mm at the nuc's 3.5 mm audio out (my nuc: D34010WYKH)
There is something going on with drivers regarding USB-DVB.
'don't know how much it's related to the discussion here, tough.

...What does an RMA look like? ...
on top right is written:
Rücksendeformular
Widerrufsformular
dvbshop has a lot of bugs on their website, this can happen for a while, but they don't even care about, for years ! and declare that as completely normal !!!
If I were you I would try to give device back to dvbshop and get the whole money back even the 14 limit is over.
Dvbshop declared the device applicable under Linux, what is not the case.
see:
TechnoTrend connect S2-4600, USB, DVB-S/S2, HDTV, IR-Remote, 58,99
1. they know that the chip has changed as you mentioned in #50
2. up to now they still declare in the link above that the device is applicable under linux, what apart is somewhat diametral to 1.
3. I told them via email to CEO Giebler at 12.02.2018, what is btw. before you bought your device, that they need to change their declaration in the above links cause the device is not applicable under linux, what they didn't do.
Alas I don't have this email anymore, but a copy of the RMA which was laid in the retour packet too, where I made the following statement regarding error description: "... against product description under Linux NOT applicable..."
to sum it up: they sell devices and declare them applicable under Linux what is proofed (!) not the case !
if it goes hard: You can get a copy of that RMA somehow via private mail.
Go for it and follow my instruction in #22 to get the whole money back !
- I admit that the device is still in the condition as it it arrived -
Keep in mind that their impress is invalid too, since 10 years, Giebler told me, casual !.
it is "Otto-Lilienthal-Straße 7, Haus 2, 06796 Brehna"
Maybe you got an RMA with the correct address from them in your packet during shipping, did you ?
I hadn't one, contrary to Gieblers statement in his mail ...., and I had to pay the costs for back sending twice, caused by their erroneous impress -
I'm done with this shop !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Regarding your log I don't know if the device is correct up, but the last two lines make think it is -IFAIK-.
what did tvheadend say ?
okay, I have modified entries in dvb wiki to express that there is currently no driver support for Technotrend and Terratec.
My intention only is to protect user/buyer for a lot of frustrations caused by outdated and contrary informations in the internet !

anyway: thanks for help !!!
did my last test with kernel 4.4.0-1: does not load any module after plug in the device
'will give the device back next week !
you talking about a technotrend, right ?
