A bit curious. I tried to hit the install button the previous day but it would not work. The next day the button did work and the addon installed and worked!

Removing Netflix addon helped some, but problem continues

Disabling the Netflix add on seemed to help. I will continue to monitor the situation. The power to the Tv was on but not the TV itself.

Hi,

I continue to have problems with the TV turning on after I shut it off. I am currently disabling the Netflix add on to see if that helps. The only other add on is NextPVR so I can connect to

the backend on another machine. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

When I am done watching TV, I return to the main menu and turn off the TV. But a number of times when I return to watch TV, the TV has been turned on by Libreelec, i.e., the screen is on. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?

The nice thing about Nextpvr is that it is free! 🙂 I have been very pleased with it. I tried mythtv, but became very frustrated with its setup and I am very familiar with Linux. I would have preferred mythtv because Ubuntu is also free.

I retried Raspbian (November 2018 version) with Kodi Leia 18.1 and the nextpvr add on. Although some channels still switch fast, others do not and one does not switch at all.

I was using Kodi Leia on Raspbian with no problems. I am not sure of which version of Leia. I can go back to Raspbian and retry.

To change channels with Kodi Leia on Raspbian, the change is almost instantaneous. When using LIBREelec, a black screen occurs and it involves a painfully slow time where you begin to think it has hung. I use the NextPVR addon (NexPVR runs on Windows 10 on the server).

Given that LIBREelec is a stripped down system, it would seem the channel change should be faster? The main reason to switch to LIBREelec is that I thought it would be easier to reboot for my wife (there is an extra step with raspbian) and I though it would be faster.

I thought this software fork started because openELEC was being released with too many bugs. Well this software is full of them. Now I cannot set the time correctly using a time server.

The power down option shuts down the RP2 - need option to only turn off tv and not LE.

LE 8.2.3 with NextPVR addon shows too many channels with only the correct Schedules Direct ones having timeline info.
