You can copy it directly to the SD card (unless you're booting from internal).

so here's where I am stuck. I get the error no device found when i run ir0keytable. ok. so i need to update the device tree.
it's a venz v10 pro with 2gigs of memory so i download this one :
i rename it as dtb.img and put it in the update folder, together with the .tar file. it does update however, still no device found. is there a way to just update the device tree?

yes, however when i run the ir-keytable command it tells me that the service is not running. can find the exact error code somewhere.. i was hoping someone has a Venz V10 Pro Remote file somewhere..

Hi All;
perhaps i am just missing things;
I have multiple Venz V10 Pro devices, been running 8.90.3 but since the ugprade to 8.90.4 the venz remote no longer works. I understand i need to follow instructions and I did, but I tried the following to no avail;
re-install device tree : no go
trying to learn the remote : can;t run the services as instructed.
so, what am i to do?
