Is your box connected to the internet?Yes it's connected to the Internet

Hi,Have a memory ram size question/issue...
Its a Leelbox MXQ that the only version of LibreELEC that seems to work and running from NAND is LibreELEC-S805.m201d.arm-7.0.2.4...
Tried all the other 3 versions and they will just brick it and it gets a struck on MXQ screen at boot up...
System Runs fine with the LibreELEC-S805.m201d.arm-7.0.2.4 other then its not reporting the 1gb memory, only 512k memory...
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
LibreELEC:~ # free -mtotal used free shared buffers cached
Mem: 343 279 64 0 27 82
-/+ buffers/cache: 170 173
Swap: 255 0 255
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------Did note that this LibreELEC version was for some 512k models... would there be somewhere a setting that can be changed to use the full 1gb of memory...
Edit: Just read on a earlier post that they are Faking out the 1gb memory and is only using 512k memory even that the memory chips say 512k... Oh well... still more memory then the Apple iTV rev1....
Thanks in Advance...
Model: Leelbox(red stripe) MXQ
NAND: LibreELEC-S805.m201d.arm-7.0.2.4
Board Version: MXQ_S805 V3_1 20151230
Android Version that works (now overritten): cyx_MXQ_8189etv_8g1g_160419_USB.imgLast batch of mxq I had was 512. The bad thing about when streaming sound would be out of sync then later it would just freeze up. It was very annoying.

unfortunately none of the builds have a working wifi for me. Could this board now have a different wifi chip?
If u have SSV6051Q wifi chip there's no driver for it.

first off many thanks for the help my friends. i had been testing my box running on 512 meg. when i stream hd it seems like audio is out of sync sometimes. if i browse through the menu while streaming the box would freeze. i also got remote to work i did have to delete text from remote.conf.text thanks for the tip but the volume button up doesnt work. u guys been a lots of help i really thank yall for that. im a straight noob but whats more worse is that im a visual learner lots of letters makes my head hurt. lol
-
you must delete the .txt from the end
ok i did that and put it in configfiles still no work. i must have the wrong remote file. now im having bigger problems finding out the boxes i got are 512 gig of rams.

ok with 512 gig ram if i constantly clear cache, thumbnail and purge packages will that keep it from freezing? -
I just recently was able to flash my mxq with m201d but now remote don't work. I've been trying to research to get the remote to work. I don't have no knowledge of coding what's so ever. I place the remote.conf.txt in configfiles but remote still don't work. Am I suppose to copy it in hosts.conf? That where I'm think I need to put it in there's a picture of it in the bottom.

So what exactly happened when you tried the sd card method to flash ?It doesn't even flash. It just stay on s805 screen.
-
This is my SD Card which has been working.
The screenshot is taken after i mounted it via external SD card reader.
Ignore Lost Directories Folder.
Is this what you have after using restore backup button.??
There are 5 files correct.
Wipe your SD card and start from the beginning.
Prep For Noobs
Then restore Backup.
Un Plug MXQ Box
Insert toothpick hear feel click. Plug power back to box WHILST STILL HOLDING toothpick until LE Boots.I get the same 5 file. I dont think libreelec is compatible with this mxq.

It is in spanish but around 2 minutes into vid see what he does.
Format your sd card to fat 32 first. If it mounts it should be visible.
See vid how he searches for it in ApplePI Baker.Every that's done on the video is pretty the same on how it operates on mines. But only can select restore back up instead of image to sd. And as result is getting 5 files in the SD card. If can get factory firmware can that be any help? Is there like a video on how make builds. I'm more of seeing instead of reading type learner. But I wanna help any I can.

Can you install this version of apple pi baker in link.
Its my version installed on my macs.
I have no idea what is going on. It works perfect for me.i was able to download it but it wont recognize SD card. but it will open up image file.
-
I have just loaded my version and took screenshot.
There is no SD card mounted but it would show up in the left.
If it was there it would be an option to prepare noobs recipe. (Prepare partition get it ready for burning image next step.)
On the right you should have image to sd card option and search option to look for image on your Mac. Where ever you put it after you un packed.
Put it on your desktop so you can find it.
You then click IMG TO SD - Card and it will do it. it may ask for your user password for your mac.
If you dont see what i have in screenshot there is something wrong with version you downloaded.
Remember i am still on Mavericks if you are using El Capitan you may have to download a more recent version of Apple PI Baker. There's no option to change it. Can write the image to an SD card and see what u get in the card. If u don't mind.

Why is the screenshot showing backup. You have to make a bootable image. Choose that. Not prepare backup.
Once you do the noobs you then go to the right and burn image to the sd card which makes it bootable.
That is what you are meant to be doing.
[hr]Kodi System settings AUDIO. HDMI IS THERE on mine. 004
I see what u are saying but when I open applepi those are the only option I have
-
I dont think you have done this correct.
1) On your Mac Unpack .img.gz you have downloaded. All you will see then is the image.
2) Mount your SD card
3) Open ApplePi Baker
Now you will see your sd card listed. Now prepare for Noobs. It will now prepare your SD card partitions.
When it is finished preparing your card you will see on the right option to burn image . Select the image you
Unpacked in step 1 and choose it to burn it. It will burn the image to your sd card. When it is done
eject your sd card.
Now insert into your box and do the toothpick method .Still the same. I followed your steps. The funny thing was after I tried to flash it I pulled the SD card out and plugged it back in the computer it showed the same file before. But I did use the image I got after I unpacked from the gz format.

I am a Mac User.
Dont use Terminal for this procedure.
Download Mac OS X
Filename: ApplePi-Baker-1.5.1.zip
Version: 1.5.1
Size: 2.0 MiB
Date: May 30, 2014
Tweaking4All.com - MacOS X - ApplePi Baker - Prep SD-Cards for IMG or NOOBS
I am still on Mavericks but this version works for me.Ok I got applepi-baker. Got it to gunzip and I got 5 files u can see in the image. I tried flash mxq with it and it straight to recovery mode. So I went back to to see if I was doing anything wrong. it mention I should only have 3 files. So I deleted the files with md5 and tried to flash mxq and it did the same thing went straight to recovery mode. Me don't know what to do now.
