A long time has passed and I'm wondering what's the real status of software HEVC playback to return on the RPI3 in Libreelec future builds?

I have just noticed that there aren't nightly builds to Raspberry PI2/3 on the LibreELEC Nightly download site as of the moment of this writing.

Earlier this month I downloaded from there a nightly build to my RPi3+

What is happening?

Since there is no LibreELEC Beta-3 to my RPi3+, I'm stuck.

I'm under the impression that RPi2/3 models are becoming too much of a hassle to be maintained.

Hope I am wrong. But what you said sounded a lot like backporting something too advanced to a dying model

Which will be sad. Because I haven't purchased a Rpi4 because my Rpi3 did playback 1080p HEVC 10bit (software decoding) using Librelec 9.

I will only buy another Rpi model when they release a version with AV1 hardware support.

I will revisit this thread in two months' time.

I have been using the latest test builds from Librelec from the Index of / page.

As of the moment of this writing, I'm still unable to play ANY hevc 10bit (up to 1080p) file.

With Libreelec 9 virtually everything I threw at my Rpi3b+ played successfully using a software decoder

It was my micro sd card. I bought a new one and it is working as expected.

I have just installed Libreelec for the first time. I'm coming from OSMC.

Here's what happening.

I am trying to setup the Plex For Kodi addon but when I try to generate a pin number a message appears saying that is not possible to connect to Plex.tv.

Something similar is happening with YouTube as well.
