You are using very new Alpha Software with a new Linux Kernel.
So you have to be prepared for issues and bugs because it is not what you would call stable software.
Try using a LE 8.2.x version if you do not want to be a Guinea pig and experiment.
I would say the same to anyone using any sort of Alpha software on any hardware platform.
Then you'd attribute my problem soley to the build i am using? or is this a default reaction to any problem you face with this build?

I watched 2 videos perfectly fine about 50 GB in size they were, approx 2 hour length.
Now other movies which are about the same size 56 gb and 1:20 or 1:30 hour are constantly buffering then perhaps a minute fluid or just literally all the time.
Is there something I can do, change within the settings to avert this issue? Im pretty mad to be honest I found out.
I made many topics across different forums(not here though) and I specifically asked if such device can playback 4k UHD with no issue. People recommended the Nvidia Shield or the minix for example...
Im using an External USB 3.0 HDD with USB 3.0 cable. I haven't tried network share stream but I suppose that won't matter as I will still have the file on that same external harddrive.
Now I have this problem.. Do I really have to throw away this Minix? Because it is useless at the moment for me 
Turn off CEC in LE and on your TV as well if its a feature you dont care about
But I do care about it for my other devices. Is it not possible to use both remote at the same time?

I don't know what I did but my LG remote controll is controlling the mediabox.
While I don't mind. the default remote controll that came with the mediabox is unresponsive because of it.
This default controller has a menu button etc. function which i cannnot seem to produce on my LG remote.
How do I switch back to default remote controll? Or is there a way to get the functionallity of the "gear icon" "settings/menu button" on the LG remote?

I own a Minix u9h but the only function im missing is dolby vision.
Website says it has DV. but I need more to go on as i have not heard of single DV device so far. (except insane price UPPO player) before i buy something like this.

If anyone is able to get a copy of this software, it could be the holy grail you're searching for. It can mux dual layer dv profiles into a single layer and vice versa, or basically anything dv related you wish. I'm sure it's even how LG made their test file

No version should be considered stable.
I have refrained from nightlies as there is not enough changes in LE on a daily basis to make this worthwhile.
The current schedule is a new build every 2-4 weeks.

The pre aplha version is not stable yet - box need a lot of reboots after viewing any video - Version 8.9.x.x is just for testing
I will use the stable Version until Release stable LE 9.

And I think I found the solution to this possibly? If I do safe remove via windows first then replug it in the dockings enclosure etc..
It will see the drive.. or it was a coincidence need to test further...

For me dolby atmos work and is displayed by avr - but alpha versions are not stable - I went back to 8.2.x.x
What problems were you having with the alpha?
And when you say it works. What sound output have you set in Kodi? 5.1? 7.1? and youre telling me it works good regardless it is nog 5.1.2 / 7.1.2 etc?
How did you test it works? seeing the OSD on the receiver? and or actually listening if the sound placement is correct in movies?
