- Delete any old Remote.xml in keymap folder and reboot. Works fine here.

Use the keymap addon.
Under fullscreen live tv set any button you like to do ”stop” . I use the back button

Yes works fine ! Add your newcamd client under cas in tvheadend server settings.
I have Digibit iptv tuner to my Tvheadend server.

Why not Telestar DIGIBIT R1 SAT2IP ? works great with Tvheadend and Kodi

.iso or disc ? I think you can only play unprotected disc/iso.
My test .iso works on Intel NUC and Rpi with method from here.

Broken in 8.90.1. Wait for next build or go back to 8.90.0

Is it the new longpress support who messed up Mce remote in 8.90.1 ? Some buttons don`t responde and alot of double press.
All works perfect in 8.90.0

Don't have such device which means it is the same story as with RPi: Maybe someone will investigate. But I'm sure it could be done.
Maybe you could try above RPi2 version.
installed fine without error but no menus work. Could take a look if i share my log ?
