if I install libreelec on emmc storage will I be able to reflash android and since my box (mecool pro l) have l1 drm will this be lost

Anyway, rebooted and usb WiFi works OK.
Unfortunately, it's still not very good.

Having poor WiFi performance on this build on
M8S pro L.
Is there a way to rip the WiFi drivers from 8.2.2.3 where the WiFi works OK?
Been using a dd-wrt bridge repeater on the lan port, but that is causing problems for other devices on the network.
Prefer to use this version as 8.2.2.3 wouldn't Passthrough digital audio on my box.

GDPR-2 I have a MECOOL M8S PRO L and installed 8.90.3 and i tried to run netflix.
Installation of addon etc. went fine but the playback 720p is really dramatic, it stutters all the time
It looks like the CPU of my S912 can't handle SW decoding with inputstream.
Is this because of the S912 use the libhybris driver or something?
Cause my ODOID C2 S905 plays netflix 720p flawless.....

You could Dual boot nexus ATV for Netflix, not a solution, but a workaround!

had a couple of crashes.
If I enable debug logging, some info is overlaid on the screen - that isn't go to wash with the missus when we're watching something!
I'm watching media off a USB Hard drive. Is it possible that there isn't enough current being supplied from the box?
I ask this as yesterday, post crash, I could still ssh into the box.

im occasionally getting a white flash on screen. Gonna swap hdmi, don't recall it happening on 8.2.2.3

Nothing I can do about this, it's using the same driver's, this sounds like pebcak.
This sounds like a hardware issue I'm afraid as I haven't experienced this with any of my boxes.
No worries, just set up an old router as a wireless bridge. Getting around 5.0Mbps now.

got a Mecool M8S L running libreelec and sharing files on network via inbuilt WiFi.
Checked network speed using a win 10 laptop, copy a 8.5gb over the network.
Only getting around 1.0MB/s with this build. Get around 3.0MB/s with 8.2.2.3.

When videos pan, it can be a bit weird, kind of a mix between fuzzy and choppy, can't complain - I do realise this is a pre alpha release!

Does anyone have a problem with the built in Bluetooth on Mecool M8S Pro L? I just get "Adapter not found". Working in Android.
I can get bluetooth by an USB dongle, but for some reason my PS3 remote refuses to connect...never had problems with the same dongle on an Intel NUC...
And BTW, thanks for your work, excellent!
Got same box. Confirmed Bluetooth is disabled.
Other than that... Awesome!
Framerate switching and hdmi audio Passthrough works a treat.
Occasionally a video will start with no audio. A stop start sorts it out.

I have the Mecool M8S Pro (Amlogic S912) and my Denon AVR shows which audio codec is playing, and this box is running the latest LibreELEC 8.2.2.3. So no matter what audio my BlueRay rips have, it is passed through to my AVR.
I also have the "L" box, but have not installed LibreELEC on it.
Be good to see your result from L box!

Very strange. HD audio passthrough worked from the beginning on S912.
I would try another fresh install on different media (pendrive or sd card).

just used the build from here [8.90.11a] LibreELEC 9.x for S912
works a treat!!!!!!

True, had to press menu, tick 'request desktop site'.
Then scroll to your sig and find that you've got a Vorke Z6.
