And those are definitely BDJ-Menus?
-
Try it with simplified menu in the playback settings. Then choose in the simplified popup -> play with menu.
I think that is actually the same.
For me only the Non-Java Menus work. All BDJ-Menus won't work.
-
hmm, is there anything I'm missing?
Milhouse installed, jre at place, but no menus...
-
same problem here. Installation on VMWare.
-
How does this actually work? How the system environment variable for java is set so that the player knows jre is installed?
-
I leave that to the developers

As I said in the other thread, just give the user an option to make it possible Whether it's via ssh or a built-in feature to install the package doesn't seem important to me. It's just important that the option is available somehow. Then everybody can decide by himself.
-
that's not the point.
-
Where would be the problem if I just had the option to install the package?
The argument "that everyone has managed without since..." seems pretty naive, sorry.

Wouldn't it be enough to have a JRE installed on the system? Kodi comes with a built-in libbluray that relies on a running java runtime.
-
why? It would make sense....
-
yes but it is too complicated for a free project

Hi,
will there be Bluray menu support with LE 9 since Kodi 18 will have built-in libbluray the only thing needed would be jre.
-
Is there a solution to fix this on a RasPi 2?
-
Well the title says it all. Kodi is preparing to include libbluray with their next release and thus it would be fine to Java on board.
The test runs on a PC with installed JRE are very promising and I'd love to see that in LE too.

As it is or will be available in Kodi 18, how about LibreElec now?
