hi Joffa, that is the one I originally tried, and it does install and run - however, wired ethernet does not work properly. It will not get an IP from DHCP. Have you tried wired ethernet by any chance?
Sorry no, and not something i can easily test.
A workaround would be to reserve a fixed ip in the router by mac address then set that ip manually in LE.
Makes using ip based remote like yatze easier when its fixed.

This one worked for me on my Tronsmart S89 where the S82 version did not. I suspect the S82 build is corrupted.
The linked above is one version behind current but I then updated.. Anyway its all there if you go back to pages 74/75.
1: Get file LibreELEC.USB-SD.Creator.Win32.exe
2: Use it to burn IMG file (xxx.img.gz) to SD or USB as appropriate.
3: Plug sd or usb in and boot device using 'toothpick method' or whichover is appropriate for your device to boot to bootloader.
4: Give it a few minutes to start up. USB may or may not be detected on all or any ports. Try another port if failed.

You had made a Kodi 17.3 LIBREELEC version (8.0.1) exclusively for me around 7 months ago and it worked perfectly, many thanks for that.
Do you have a link for this file? I used the latest and got the error (pictured) above on my S89.
Just tried with LibreELEC-S8X2.arm-8.2.2-S82.img.gz having used the USB-SD creator tool . MD5 checks out on the download.
Rebooting with toothpick method i get the following on my Tronsmart S89 Elite.
How can I get around this?
