Ok, found my particular problem. It was due to a Python shutdown script that must not work well with recent LibreELEC versions, utilising 100% of the CPU. Fixed, and now idling and playing music around the correct temps.

No visualisations. The only other change I made at the same time as upgrading to 9.2.3 was to setup a shared library DB - MariaDB 10 on Synology NAS.

I have a Pi3B that running hot since upgrading to 9.2.3 (from 8x). It's idling at ~71C and hitting ~80C while playing music. Hooked up to the official 7inch touchscreen + case, and using the Estouchy skin. No heatsink or fan, but even so, the temp seems extreme?
I don't know what temp it was running before, as the thing that prompted me to investigate was the thermometer icon popping up at 80C. I never saw the icon appear on LibreELEC 8x.
I tried switching my network share from NFS to SMB - no change in temp.
I tried removing the 2 plugins I have installed (BBC iPlayer and a Radio) - no change in temp.
I'm about to build the same config on a Pi3B+, so will see how that goes.

Thanks for the tip, I'll give it a go!
For those using Libreelec, the file to update is:
/flash/extlinux.conf
And /flash is read only, so you have to re-mount with:
mount -o remount,rw /flash

Hi,
Recently I have been getting random freezes when playing movies - sometimes multiple times within the space of 20 minutes. When the system freezes I have to do a hard reboot. I didn't have a problem before, so I'm thinking it's related to a recent release (I have set to update automatically). Can anyone shed some light on this? I have attached the log and system specs.
Version:
LibreELEC (official): 8.2.1, kernel: Linux x86 64-bit version 4.11.12
System:
Tiny and Fanless Jetway JBC311 Barebones NUC Form Factor PC with Intel N2930 Bay Trail-M processor, 2x Intel 82583V Gigabit LAN, 2x HDMI, 3x USB 2.0, 1x USB 3.0.
I'm using streaming from a Synology NAS over WiFi (also tried powerline adapters with the same result).
Log:

I also have another Zotac mini PC that's working fine on the same network (same software version), so it seems to be specifically related to the Jetway box.
