Hello all!
Playing music files from a samba share, and a locally hosted internet radio stream while using projectM results in intermittent and severe stuttering issues. This was not an issue in Jarvis. While the visualizer would sometimes lag, it did not effect music playback. Since the upgrade to Krypton when the visualization bogs down so does the music playback. Stutters on wifi and wired connection. I have tried to set some of the buffer options in advancedsettings.xml.
My question:
Is there is a way to renice or give the music player higher priority to prevent stutter while using visualizations? Suggestions of other things to check?
The box in question is an Intel Atom 1.6Ghz. While I realize this is a pretty weak platform, it worked in Jarvis just fine, so please don't reply with "jus git gud n buy nu thingz." I will downgrade if necessary, the only reason I upgraded was to sync to MySQL library.
