Not sure if for this issue was to expect anything changing since LE10b3 but it is still crashing with LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-9.95.4.img.gz.
Just wanted to report.
Not sure if for this issue was to expect anything changing since LE10b3 but it is still crashing with LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-9.95.4.img.gz.
Just wanted to report.
Updated today from LE 10b2 to LE 10b3, x86 generic.
Still crashing.
Exciting stuff
Looking forward to it!
I just wanted to see if there are some new LE gadgets to support the team but the first two links LibreELEC tee-shirt and hoodie from the following page seem to be dead:
It will have whatever is current. Could even be Kodi 19.2 or 3, if there is such a version at that moment.
Hopefully it won't take until Kodi 19.2 to release LE 10, but thanks for the quick answer mate!
Since Kodi 19.1 has been released yesterday, will the next LE beta/rc already contain the changes since Kodi 19? If not, will the final LE 10 release be based on Kodi 19.1?
Still crashes on LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-10.0-nightly-20210322-32b3089.ova
Just curious because nobody's got a reaction over here: Was this the wrong place to post this issue or did I miss to post some more relevant information? Or was this issue already posted somewhere else? Or am I just not patient enough?
Don't get me wrong, I'm not mad, just want to ask
Did another test with the official Kodi 19 Matrix release on a fresh Windows 10 x86_64 installation and on a fresh Ubuntu 20.04 x86_64 installation.
In both cases the issue is not occurring.
Seems like it's a LibreELEC only issue?
I have tested this on LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-10.0-nightly-20210318-c5d7822.ova on VMware Workstation Player 16.1.0 build-17198959 and the behaviour is almost the same. Except the fact that it crashes only once after every LibreELEC reboot.
I have chosen the LibreELEC's bootloader start option run.
EDIT:
I forgot to mention that I have enabled the "Show login screen on startup" setting on Profiles --> General.
Just wanted to mention this to make my informations complete.
I'm on a fresh installation of LE 10.0b1 generic x64 installation on an original Zoatc CI323 nano computer.
Beside the Master User profile I have created two other user profiles for my family members.
Now the problem is, whenever I login into a profile, then logout and login to another profile, LE crashes (black screen) and after a few seconds it shows me the "rainy code" Kodi Matrix logo and puts me back to the login screen.
After that I can login to that specific profile without crashing.
This happens everytime I want to switch from one profile to another.
Here are the crashlogs:
Edit:
Debug logs:
I'm told this was fixed in PIN cleanup by MilhouseVH · Pull Request #159 · LibreELEC/service.libreelec.settings · GitHub last April - so please test a currently nightly image and confirm.
It works like it should in the latest nightly build.
Now I'm looking more forward than ever to the final release
Thank you guys so much!
And my (and nobody else's) Rii mini doesn't have those keys...
Then get one. Totally worth it.
Edit: Just checked the Rii mini. It has standard numeric keys. Which allows you to hide your enterings also, if you really wanted to. At least much more than having to enter it by using LE's virtual keyboard.

Oh, nice! I will! Thanks so far!
I'm using a Logitech Harmony Elite remote control which has a touch numeric panel. Which surely allows you to hide what you're typing in.
I can see your point of view but if it would not take much effort to implement this, why not?
This feature was originally asked by me and I'm very thankful that this was done by one of your developers.
The first goal for me was to keep the kids away from content that does not belong to them. But as you can imagine kids are always only a few seconds away whenever they mention a small possibility to watch TV and sitting next to me, watching every step I do carefully, asking what I am doing now, and so on. They are learning quicker than you can imagine what it means what I am doing.
So again: It would be sad not to implement this if it would not take much work to make the feature a perfect feature. There's a reason why a password is a password. I'm not saying the feature is useless right now but less usable than the initial basic idea was.
If on the other hand it actually will take hours of work, which I am not supposed to evaluate, then I indeed would say that it's not worth it.
Nevermid, I'm not mad at all. I just think it would be sad to leave this feature in an "unfinished" state.
As it comes into a new release I wanted to ask again for this (which would be potentially a small "fix" I guess?).
Is there any reason this cannot be implemented easily? Just a question.
Nope. It will be released simultaneously for Generic, RPi4, and the current roster of Allwinner and Rockchip devices. Everything else is either still in a developmental state or discontinued.
Alright, now I understand that I don't have to check everyday whether it has been released or not since this will surely take a couple of weeks until all those platforms are ready for the official release.
Thank you for clearing this up.
Sorry for this question but did I get this right that the release of LE10 will first be for Generic devices and will be released for other platforms successively after that?
