Oh boy get kodi on Ubuntu 23.10 with PT working was lets say interessting.
So i have now kodi 20 from the team kodi ppa running in 2160p @ 23.976 Hz. That did take way longer then expected.
- fixed framerate because not switching with wayland
- no HDR
and HD Audio PT has the same problem
It is ridiculous how hard it is get PT running on Ubuntu even with the team kodi ppa.
I ended up with starting kodi with KODI_AE_SINK=ALSA kodi
What a colossal waste of time.
Any other helping suggestions?
If not i give up to get N100 running.
That is very sad !!!! -
At the end of the week I will give up and send my Intel N100 back.
Anybody any helping tips whom I could ask for fixing this Intel problem or what part of software could be the problem? So I can ask there.
If not I will live for now with my new RPi5. If you do not measure it you can not tell the difference in speed of using it with LE if it is the RPi5 or N100. Yes less codecs in Hardware especially AV1, but for now I don't need AV1. I use it for days now with LE11 and it plays all my DVD, BD, UHD BD remux content just perfect.

New build from LE development branch with new Intel software did not make it better. I updated kodi too to fix the broken mysql support of 21b2.
If you want to try download here https://sky42.libreelec.tv/testing/12.0/
No success with PipeWire and passthrough. The test images i build for PipeWire are also on the download server.
I have no ideas anymore what to do.So i will give up and very sadly send the two N100 back next week.

If you have any problems please install nightly LibreELEC version on which my build is based on and test again. If the problem is the same it is most likely not my build.
If you dont use any of the following additions i made, then my images have no benefit for you and you should use the official build.
the following was added in my community build:
- /flash 1024MB
- no GUI tools for the encryptiom, lvm2 or mdraid
- enable kernel config for lvm2 and snapshots (no cache, no thin)
- added lvm2 tools (config is under /storage/.config/lvm)
- enable kernel config for software raid with lvm2 and standalone with mdraid
- added mdraid to control linux software raid
- enable kernel config for dm-crypt to use cryptsetup (compatible with luks, veracrypt, truecrypt)
- added cryptsetup to manage encrypted block devices with luks, veracrypt and some more
- enabled /etc/crypttab support in systemd
- enable kernel config for ext4 filesystem encryption
- added fscryptctl to manage ext4 encryption
- enable kernel config for more crypto modules and options
- curl: enable protocol support for scp, sftp, smb, smbs
- versions: cryptsetup-2.6.1, lvm2-2.03.16, fscryptctl-1.1.0, mdadm-4.2
- PR8588 Generic: added intel-gpu-max-10-bit.sh helper
- PR8751 pipewire: enable for all images, but dont start if alsa or pulse in on
- PR8749 pipewire: hardwire extra config to ~/.config/pipewire
- PR8750 wireplumber: hardwire extra config to ~/.config/wireplumber
- Generic: new device BT2020 (only added kodi PR24160)
Builds are done for all official LE 12 supported architectures and devices.new device Generic-BT2020 is based on Generic with the following changes
- added kodi PR24160 enable HDR passthrough for HDR videos with incomplete(?) metadata info
- nothing else so far (no PVR flickeruing patch from smp as in LE11)
The following links are only for people who are interested in the source code of my builds.

Zuma for me HDR is working, HLG with PVR i can not test, but you need to have the right hardware too. I only included patches from here HDR on x86 Hardware and there you probably find more infos about what hardware should work. My NUC8 works.

1080p the N100 is flawless too (as far as i can tell)
Now i have my 1st RPi5 and i mesured CPU power for the real task of the watchListe addon, that has a hard job making a full sync.
PN42 N100 -> around 3min
RPi5 @ 2900 MHz -> around 3min 45sec
RPi4 @ 2000 MHz -> more then 7min
For playing Video i did some tests with ym new RPi5 @ 2900 MHz passiv colling always with screen resolution 2160p and refresh rate like the movie. As far as my tests go always with PT no problem whatsoever with LE 11.0.4. Watched 1x 4k HDR TrueHD Atmos and BD with DTS-HD 7.1. Both remux i made my self from disc. Played flawless without any hickup. Some more TV show episode and streaming files played flawless too. -

Thanks to the hint of smp i have now a Pipe wire LE11 BT2020 running.
Output is PCM stereo at the moment. Now i need to learn how to configure pipe wire for Kodi that passthrough is possible.
