Thanks to alex we got a pre-built module with 9082xs driver. Here is a build to test:
LibreELEC-S905.arm-8.2-9082xs_test.tar
Please note:
- source code for the driver is still not available which means that...
- ...absolutetly NO SUPPORT for any issues with the driver
- when kernel is updated, support will probably be dropped
What about 9083xu? Should I test it with this build or it won't work at all? -
I've got box with 9083xu chipset which is also unsupported.
Thread with supported and unsupported chispets would be really helpfull for new users so they can avoid boxes with these chipsets.

I'm blind nvm -
I've got a question.
Every time I turn on a movie black screen with "No Signal" message appears for 2-3 seconds.
Same thing happens when I turn it off.
Also on boot i've got LibreELEC loading screen --> "No Signal" message for 2-3 secs --> Kodi loading screen.
kszaq is it possible to get rid of this somehow? -

Is that normal in LibreELEC? -
Simply get a supported USB wifi adapter. I tested several that I own (with various Realtek chipsets, if I remember correctly) and they all worked and have better reception than the builtin ones. They cost less than 8€.
Is there any list of supported chipsets?
For ex. is Realtek RTL8188CU supported?
I see this in changelog "added support for a few RTL8188EU WiFi USB dongles" so I guess it should work? -
Hello, i've installed LibreELEC on SD Card and wi-fi is not working.
I've got MXQ Pro 4K S905X with android 6.0
Probably this box got unsupported wifi chipset (9082xs).
Is there a way to check wifi chipset other than opening box (I don't want to lose warranty)?
Tried apps like Aida64, CPU-Z but none of them shows wifi chipset.
@edit
Ok found a way to check chipset.
Sadly it's 9083xu
RIP my dreams about LibreELEC
