Just standard USB keys of various sizes & makes. I have other keys that boot fine. I select USB Drive after F12 & after several seconds I get returned to the Boot Options Screen with a message USB key failed.

$ sudo sh ./LibreELEC.USB-SD.Creator.Linux-64bit.bin
[sudo] password for serena-k:
./LibreELEC.USB-SD.Creator.Linux-64bit.bin: 1: ./LibreELEC.USB-SD.Creator.Linux-64bit.bin: Syntax error: "(" unexpected
$
Clearly that ( must be in the executeable
This is the first time I have needed to build from a .img
I tried using Etcher & Unetbootin to write the image. Unetbootin seemed unable to handle an image file & Etcher returned no errors but the key will not boot.
The ls -l of the key shows :-
total 219176

The key is labelled LIBREELEC. -
So, I have downloaded everything and then other USB Writers.
Nothing Boots.
Errors include "unexpected ( " on Creator
Other programs write the stick okay but it will not boot. Burned & Booted a million sticks in my time but not LibreElec.
Two linux OS's can see the key with its files but nada.
There is atrend of people using Linux to make there stuff & then not making sure it works there first. On to Windows they go.
Really annoying. And why not just a simple ISO. They burn to USB just as easily.
