  • Screensaver disables itself after 5-15 seconds

    Hi,

    I'm using an rpi3 and the current build of LibreElect/Kodi. Mostly, so far so good... My install is still pretty fresh, and the only plugins I've downloaded are YouTube and Twitch and a different screensaver to help test the following problem.

    The problem I'm having is that when I want to use my receiver with another source, Kodi will randomly switch the input back to the screensaver. My solution is to just power down Kodi before the automatic sleep function does it. I have maybe narrowed this to a problem with the screensaver. If I set the screensaver to one minute, the screensaver comes on in the correct time period. However, it turns right back off after a few seconds. It does this consistently, as a cycle all by itself. I searched through the forum (a year back) and didn't see this posted (strangely).

    I'm happy to post any requested information. I have confirmed that at least sometimes the receiver will switch back to Kodi after a minute or two, but I don't know if the timing exactly matches what the screensaver is doing (because I can't see it when I'm on another input source). Is there a setting to fix this (besides disabling the screensaver)? Is this a bug? Has anyone else seen this?

    edit: confirmed that turning off the screensaver stops the source from switching... I actually like the screensaver, so I hope this isn't the solution...
