Yes, the guide by yatoya largely helps to solve the problem but to completely solve it, I re-do the shares in windows 10 with the "share with .......(user)" after right click on the mouse.
But it doesn't work with a SQL database... the connection to the db is ok but you can't access to the files... and I don't want to protect my pc with any password...!
I wanna add something else about the Windows share issue. I don't setup each box (Odroid C2) to access to Windows share, i use a SQL database to sync all devices, with advancedsettings.xml. The connection to the SQL DB is ok, I have my file list updated without problem, but i can't launch any video... Everything is ok with 8.0.2e.

I never had /storage/.config/samba.conf, only samba.conf.sample, no problem with 8.0.2e on my Odroid C2 ! But with the 8.1.2 build, i can't access to my Windows shares... I tried to create a samba.conf manually but no effect !
An idea ?
I'm sorry but i can't access to my windows share with the last build... "Operation not permitted" !
What are the differents steps to solve the issue ? I use a windows 10 share without password, if i add a password i have the same error message...

LE 8.1/8.2 and master have a patch to backport the autonegotiation from samba 4.7: samba: backport default to SMB3_11 from Samba 4.7 · LibreELEC/LibreELEC.tv@d48c3d8 · GitHub
So if you have no 'min' or 'max' protocol in your config it will try to negotiate smb3.11 first and work down the list on failure.

koenkooi : How can we apply this patch ? I have the same issue since the update to 8.1.2, my windows share (without password) doesn't work. I tried the jg555 solution but i didn't find the smb.conf to modified.
