Well I ment PASSTROUGH above, and yes a soundbar will be the solution I am planning. Optical cable from TV to soundbar.

Yes tried that, but I have only sound with transcode. Fixed kHz disables that function.
Thomas
Well, partly good news.
As mentioned before 44.8 mhz videos and streams have sound, 44.1mhz had not (like YouTube videos, etc.)
Enabled "Stereo upmix" in System / Audio and those videos have sound now.
Only missing sound are the GUI sounds.
Thomas
Well, nothing changed in Kodi Matrix/LE 10.
Thomas
I think this 44,1khz bug came with a refresh rate of 30kz, there was a patch, but taken out in exchange for a new kernel.
Will play arround with the refresh rates.
Thomas
I just recognized one thing.
It seams videos with audio 44,1khz are playing without sound, like videos from the yahoo addon and others.
Videos with 48 kHz, sound is playing flawless.
Does this maybe help?
Isn't that an old bug from openelec times?
Thomas
With DSP disabled no sound at all.
I think as missing sound works with the 3.5 headphone out it should also work with spdif out. Will connect via aux a Nakamishi Sound system. Let's see, have to buy a splitter to aux. Will be analog but better than now. Or buy a home theater with spdif connector.
Anyway as WIN10 GUI sound work fine with my TV it's strange that LE doesn't.
It seams to be a Intel Nuc related problem as LE 9 and my Asus Chrome Box worked perfect with the same TV.
Thanks to everybody trying to solve this mistery.
Thomas
Ok,
Installed WIN10, updated all driver as explained obove by Joe, HDMI updated. Bios I updated before the install of WIN 10.
Reinstalled LE latest stable VERSION 9. PROBLEM remains.
With WIN 10 GUI sounds worked perfect. LE 9 nothing.
Going crazy 😂
Thomas
I think i tried ntfs also. Will give it another shot.
P.S.
I created an installation media with this tool and fat32. That should do the trick.
Any special BIOS configuration needed?
Thomas
I do not believe it.
As the Win10 iso is larger than 5GB i had to format the USB Flash Drive as exFat. When booting the NUC with F10 the USB Flash Drive isn't recognized.
What did i forget?
Getting mad.. my old Asus Chromebox worked perfect....
Doc
Folks, hadn't found the time over the weekend to update everything. Still summer here and girlfriend is keeping me busy. But will do everything soon.
Meanwhile I recognized that sound less than 48khz is not playing in the current configuration. Let's wait until I made all the updates. Keep you posted.
Thomad
Ok I will give feedback. I may do that all over the weekend 😁
Thanks again
Thomas
Well it seams that option TWO is the best choice. Also setting up LE again is not a big deal.
So I think I go with that. Installing WIN10 on a NUC shouldn't be a big problem. Well we never know.
Let's download Win10 64 bit.
Any tips regarding Win + NUC?
EDIT
Any other updates I should do apart from HDMI?
Thomas

Sorry no second Box.
When I get home tonight I will download all files and bundles you mentioned.
Thanks for your help and patience.
Thomas
If I understand you correct a bootable Windows 10 USB-Stick may do the trick to install the HDMI drivers? That would be great.
Thomas
just attached like you a speaker system via 3.5 mm audio out to my TV and the GUI sound etc are playing through those speakers only.
So why the hack can't I hear them through the TV speakers?
I noticed something.
I detached the speaker set during watching a movie. For some reason the GUI sound kept playing when browsing the Kodi GUI (switched to the GUI while video was playing in the background) through the TV speaker until I ended watching the movie.
Thomas
P. S.
If I stay with the external speaker solution, i need an active speakers system with remote as I can't control their volume with the TV control. Also the sound is analog which can result into a transmission delay (it's slower than the digital) and sync problems between the video and audio. But shouldn't be a big problem.
BIOS Update done, settings regarding HTMI Ports are set to both, video and sound. DSP is enabled in Bios Onboard device settings.
No changes regarding problem.
Thomas
Need Windows installed on my NUC to update HDMI? What... 😂
Oh my god.
