This is the fourth machine I've installed TVHeadend on and the first where I can't get it working. Previous have been RPi3, RPi4 & intel based HP laptop. Generally I forget to put the username & password in, correct that and things go. Not this time. I've tried with both TVHeadend server 4.2 & 4.3 and no joy.

I'm a bit concerned that LE isn't removing the addon properly because whenI remove 4.2 and install 4.3 again there is no delay for downloading from the internet.

Unless someone can point me in the right direction I'll try a fresh install when the nightlies get updated next.

Maybe I could try Ext4 next and lose windows compatibility altogether, is this an option for usb drives?

I assume from that your NUC isn't running Windows. If it is forget Ext4. Windows will not talk to it. You could try the Paragon drivers which are meant to read/write Ext4 but I have no experience of them.

If you're running LE on the NUC I'm not sure how you go about formatting a disk I've never tried it and you may have to find a Linux machine to format for you.

I've just installed the v12 generic nightly from memory stick to ssd on a Dell Optiplex. I partitioned the SSD in the hope that the installation process would offer the option of which partition. Nope - it needed the whole SSD.

If not to difficult I'd like an option to select a partition or the whole disk.

I've just installed the latest nightly for v12 generic (LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-12.0-nightly-20230628-73e6606.img) and I can't alter the system name from LibreElec.

I found this thread System Name always reverts to LibreELEC after reboot from June this year and this thread Change hostname? from 2018. The recommendation in this years thread was to edit hostname which is why I found the earlier thread.

Here is my hostname (in line with chewitt's info)

    <?xml version="1.0" ?>

I have a 256GB SSD which will be used in the Dell Optiplex that will run Kodi. I'll be installing that latest v12 nightly I can get at the time I do the install.

The install menu simply says install but what I'd like to do is reserve some of the SSD to be formatted in NTFS. Is this possible, if so how?

I've been struggling a bit with the Pulse-Eight USB-CEC adapter.

At present between trying things out I unplug all cables and put things neatly away. I just set things up again and the FF/Rewind/Play/Stop buttons did not work. I tried various things and found that rebooting LibreElec made them work. I then tried pulling the power lead from the Dell and left it a while, plugged power back in, started the Dell and all buttons worked.

I did notice that with a reboot I get the "connecting to" message with the first boot after plugging cables in I only get the connected to tv message. Is it possible that LibreElec is trying to set CEC up to early?

Is there anything special I need to do to get this working? I've had to send one back so far, its replacement arrived today and it won't work. I'm trying with the latest V12 nightly on a Dell Optiplex 3040M.

When first connected the adapter turned the TV on and to right HDMI port, now nothing, and the remote doesn't work.

I use XYPlorer on Windows and one thing I have noticed (or my mind tells me I have) is that if I leave XYPlorer open for a while after file writes to the 6TB HDD on Kodi and especially after file deletes have supposedly finished it seems that I get less corruption.

Its entirely possible that this is a figment of my imagination, but it may be worth trying.
