    I wish I could explain but I can't :(

    My collection consists of:

    TV->VCR->DVD->Kodi

    TV->DVD->Kodi

    Bought VCR->DVD->Kodi

    Bought DVD->Kodi

    TV->TVHeadend->Kodi

    Over the years I've used DVDShrink, MakeMKV & Handbrake. Everything goes through Handbrake and the framerate setting is one I've never touched. I just looked and its set at 30fps Peak Framerate

    1. SLOW Linux machine

    2. Handbrake doesn't contain any mechanism to identify only those with a framerate of 125fps so I'd need to identify and select manually outside of Handbrake

    Thanks chewitt. I'm guessing from your answer that I'm better off converting them to 25fps. I'm nearly there, only 3 still to go.

    Since the only Linux PC I have is an ultra-portable atom based thing I used Delphi on my main Windows PC. It took longer to find some ffmpeg code to understand that worked than it did to write the Delphi to run it - I do love computers.

    Any idea why the RPi3 handled these videos so well when the much more powerful Dell doesn't?

    Environment: Dell Optiplex i5-6500, generic v12 nightly 2023-07-29, Panasonic TV

    Video: 125fps

    Problem: The audio stream is so far ahead of the video the audio offset cannot bring it back into sync. Looking at it I saw that for some reason (video recorded from UK Drama using TVHeadend and then Handbrake to convert to mp4) its at 125fps. I resurrected my RPi3 (LE 9.2.8) from storage hooked it up and it plays fine which is probably why I never noticed it before. I can also use ffmpeg to alter the fps down to 25fps and then things are fine on the Dell.

    Is this as it should be working with LE/Kodi unable to cope with an extreme fps or should I hope for a patch in the (hopefully) not to distant future? Would I be better altering all the videos to 25fps? There are 39 at 125fps, the vast majority are at 25fps. If I can figure out how to batch convert them I can set things up and do all the none 25fps ones.

    Downloaded and installed the nightly today running on Dell Optiplex i5-6500

    One video that plays perfectly on Windows using VLC has the audio stream so fat out of sync that its impossible to bring into sync with the audio offset. Has a change been made that could do this? Other videos seem fine so I suspect that its just this one. Looking at it in MediaInfo its showing as 125FPS which I think is a bit weird and it may be that Kodi can't cope with that but VLC can.

    It depends on how much TV functionality you need from the remote. If its the full standard TV remote functionality then I've been looking on and off for four years.

    You can get mini wifi keyboards that have some TV remote capability eg iPazzPort or Rii. There are also the air mouse devices some of which may do what you want. I bought my iPazzPort from Amazon it has 8 keys for IR TV control so I can power the TV on/off, manage volume & chanel (simple up/down) and that's about it.

    I agree that its not the friendliest of live/install applications I've seen but its not that bad. If you simply ignore it then the install option will automatically kick in but you get a menu which allows you to not go ahead.

    Just try typing "live" (without the quotes obviously) and hit return immediately you see the prompt. Worked for me on a Dell Optiplex for me to play a bit before installing.

    I'm running v12 nightly (about a week old version) on a Dell Optiplex i5-6500 to a Panasonic TV and I have something similar. So far its far less frequent than your's and it seems to be started when the machine is rebooted or I use the audio offset function. Because its infrequent I have yet to get a handle on just what is triggering it.

    As your's is frequent it might be worthwhile posting the logs.

    I want to add a link to an external database, one I developed so its under my control and I can add an additional column. I'll probably use a GUID for it. I want to add the same information into MyVideos121.db and have it imported from, exported to the nfo file.

    I'm wondering which is the best tag to use. I initially thought <tag> but I don't know if that will affect performance. There are <status> and <code> which are not used and a) I don't know where they map to in the database and b) if they're not used are they going to disappear?

    Any recommendation?

    Thank you for trying to be helpful.

    However, you have not answered the question I actually asked. LibreElec asks if I want to REMOVE the addon not disable it. If I then go to reinstall it there is no download process hence I assume it has not been removed. If I look in userdata/addon_data I can't see the service.tvheadendxx folder so where are the parameters being retained and why?

    Hopefully that clarifies what I'l looking for information on.

    Not sure which forum to post in but here goes.

    I installed TVHeadend 4.3, decided to try 4.2 and see if I can transfer my settings from the RPi3 to Dell Optiplex (both running LE). When I delete 4.3 it asks if I want to delete everything - I say yes. After installing 4.2 the 4.3 settings are still there - channel list etc.

    What is going on?
