With LE/Kodi, I can only go as far as 'green light' but it would be nice to be able to have the full shutdown option.
Shutdown menu is under shutdown button. There is only "power off" available as this is what Amlogic kernel provides. It makes the device go into low power u-boot shutdown (<0.1 W power draw, CPU is completely off). Anything more than this is vendor-specific implementation that I have no sources for.

I will look at your file later. It's hard to write any tutorial on a mobile phone, so I can only give you a stick and some line, you have to figure our making a rod and fishing on your own.

KEgg dd copies whole partition, including zero padding. Size difference is inevitable. You're free to interpret the file but it would be much easier for me to help you if you attached it to your post.

Have done so already. The Ethernet connection does not even show up in the dash. Least with the 1gb dtb it does know that a cable has been plugged in and shows up in connection settings. Just cant get it to connect. That's why I thought about creating a WeChip v7 specific dtb.

The most significant change is a fix for S905D/S905X performance regression that made it slower by 20% (CPU going only up to 1.2GHz instead of 1.5GHz). S905 is not affected.
I am more busy than usual with "real life" stuff so updates will slow down a bit.

I'm afraid it is. LE detects WiFi chip and loads driver correctly.
Data partition always fills space remaining after Android partitions such as boot, cache or system.
Are there guides on how to do this? I have a 16GB box on the way, the same brand as my 8GB box. It would be a shame to waste the extra storage space.
No, there are no guides. On 16GB boxes user data partition is 12GB.

My only gripe is there is no facility during installation that allows you to specify a larger internal SD size. You get a 4GB storage partition whether you have a larger one or not. I have an 8GB internal partition in my T95M. I am thinking of trying to modify the install_to_internal script to format a bigger partition or is it a moot point because it restores an IMG with a fixed size?
Partition size is defined in device tree, you have to recompile device tree and flash it twice to change user data partition size.
Any fix for screen calibration not taking effect on the player? I perform the screen calibration on my A95X unit on my plasma TV in the living room. The screen calibration fixes the GUI, but the video player is not affected. My player buttons are cut off at the bottom of my screen. It's like the calibration is not taking effect on the player.
I guess this is about automatic frame rate setting: you either have to turn it off in Kodi or (recommended) calibrate your plasma for every refresh rate.
