Box has been running great but today for other reasons I wiped the box and started fresh. This also wiped my autostart.sh file with the Governor. Since I am running 8.1.9 and you added it to platform_init I figured didnt need the Autostart. Well my box now locks up again every 5-8 mins so I added it back to autostart and all good again. Are you sure hotplug governor is really working in Platform ? Mine is the Fake M201d. MXQ
The "fix" is applied only in m201d builds. I think I may add it to 8.1.10 for all targets to prevent other boxes from freezing.
Would it be possible to handle 2560x1080 @ 60Hz
Not possible: S805 Datasheet.

Hi kszaq
I would like to ask you if there are some OTT manufacturers that have fixed the issue related to bootloader and CEC behavior . If yes could you recommend some of them ?
Im asking this question because I have some major issues related to CEC with my blue-ray sony home theater and sony smart tv when my OTT box ( nexbox a95x) is OFF but plugged into wall socket . To be more precise Im referring to this FAQ :
Q: CEC behaviour is erratic when my box is off.
A: This is a bootloader issue that needs to be fixed by box manufacturer.
I would be very thankful for your answer / thoughts .
Thank you in advance for your answer .
The only board I know that has CEC issues fixed is Odroid-C2 as the bootloader is open source and was fixed by Kwiboo. I'm not 100% sure if your particular issue is fixed. If at some point I add a product specific build, the issue may be fixed for KVIM.

will this update work on my Wetek Play 2 currently running your 8.1.9 build?
Yes.
-
BTW The test version should give smoother GUI.

I think you all guys really need to read the first post carefully or if you don't like long reads perhaps only my signature? Why does everybody ignore a very simple request to create a separate thread and post logs?
Test build for you: LibreELEC-S905.arm-8.2-devel-20171003212713-r26313-gb574f6d.tar

256MB RAM is not supported in my builds.

Don't use "C2" image, it's only for Odroid-C2 (as said in FAQ).
You probably have S905 box (not S905X), you need to use one of gxbb device trees, probably this one: gxbb_p200_1G_100M_RealtekWiFi.dtb
Hint: Android 5.0 on the box means S905, Android 6.0 or 7.x means S905X.

put the tree
Did you rename device tree to dtb.img?

Looks like you booted to recovery. I am unable to support Android-related issues but my first thought is: remove all media (SD card, USB drives etc.) and simply power on your box, no toothpick. If it doesn't boot into recovery, you probably have to reflash firmware.

Remove SD card, done.

ryv Please collect the log after a fresh reboot.

Okay. Are you able to provide 7.0.3 dmesg?
-
Try using a device tree with _nand suffix.
-
Perform a reboot, connect over SSH and grab dmesg | paste. Post result here.
If possible, please grab this both for 7.0.3 and 8.2. It doesn't matter if you boot from internal, SD or USB.

1) Just curious: How come I need to use Rufus to transfer the .img file to the SD card? Could I just as well have DD'd it to the card instead?
You can use any tool you like, Rufus is there as an example (to not tell people "Google an app that can burn image to SD card").
2) I've noted that if I do a power down of the Beelink, via the LibreELEC interface, my TV shuts off too. I would prefer that it didn't. How can I disable whatever magic (CEC?) is causing this?
Go to CEC settings in Kodi and disable it.
